people don't seem to understand that while today was the ship date, a few stores close the the shiping warehouse did get the game today thus people have it. Just go to the mygamercard.net leaderboards, theres close to 1000 people with it already there.

It did come out today I just got back from picking up my copy. I'll go throw itin and make sure I'm onLive too - just to show any skeptics. My tag is the same as my name on this board - DataDream - Give me a couple minutes though. :)

Also i live about 20 minutes from the MS campus - not sure if that really makes a difference, i know it has in the past but...

It did arrive today though at my local Game Crazy - I had preordered it so I was pretty surprised when they called to tell me it was in. I suspect that MS actually shipped the game on Saturday (the 23rd) because they knew there was no way for it to arrive on Sunday (the 24th). This allowed the game to arrive on the release date - today! :)

Also I was happy to see the game supports 1080p native (more and more of the new releases are) - it looks absolutely phenomenal.

Well I've only just started playing it - but rest assured it is available at least in some areas. Gotta get back to playing.

Anyways, Mostly people aren't angry at you, dodgerdog, but a little confused because shipping dates and release dates and in-store dates have gotten really iffy lately. It's kind of a shame. I was thinking about picking up the game myself; it looks nice. Have fun playing it.

Game is crazy -I do have a question in the audio options - what are LFE Cutoff options and the other LFE option do? I've never seen "LFE" as an audio option before and am not sure what it is talking about.

anyways ..to help you new players out , once you get to the resturant , the helicopter tries to pin you down , ignore it , you cant shoot it down , just run and hide and it will go away after you move around the block , then go to the pool hall to get to another level...jwmc1971

Cool thanks man - Also thanks for the Jennie tip. They are tricky with the acheivments on this game - did you see under acheivments where it lists what to do to get acheivments - numbers 13 though 20 just say secret! LOL Guess they really want you to dig around in the game. :)

Hey man - i see you're playing too. Have you figured out what those LFE settings in the audio options do? I don't know what LFE settings are. I know one is "cutoff" can't remember at the moment what the other LFE setting was.

Anyway - do you know what they do?

Ok one last post before getting back to playing - though i think I'll be on Oblivion still tonight. Love how the Darkness is looking but I'm just so totally addicted to Oblivion still! :P

LFE cutoff is at what audio frequency the game will start sending the bass to the subwoofer. If your speakers are small you'll want a higher setting and if your speakers are large you'll want a lower setting. If you aren't playing the game in surround or you don't have a subwoofer then I don't think it should make a difference, but an audiophile may be able to prove me wrong on this. Just fiddle around with it and see if you notice a difference and if you do, select something that sounds good. As for the other option, I can't help you out on that because I don't have The Darkness, or even a 360 (yet ;)).
