Again, do you normally spend $1 on pieces of clothing?

We're not talking the difference between buying real clothes and avatar clothes here. We're talking about the difference between buying a candy bar and a piece of avatar clothing. You guys act like spending a measly dollar is going to have major consequences to your budget. I'm sure most people spend much more money on 'unnecessary' things every week.

Are you guys seriously that poor?

I mean, seriously, are you guys unable to afford a bag of chips, or a candy bar, or something else similarly cheap and unnecessary?

I can understand the idea that you might not be able to afford both a PS3 and an Xbox360, butis a single dollar really gonna break y'alls budget?

Right, and I'm sure your gaming budget is perfectly planned out so that you're not left with a single spare dollar left.......

Bottom line is that if any of you have bought anything like fast food, a candy bar, a bag of chips or something else similarly inexpensive and unnecessary, then you have no room to judge others for spending their money on avatar clothing, which is no moreunnecessary than these other things.

No one said they were going to buy clothes for 1$, but 1$ adds up. A dollar here, a dollar there.. every penny you're not wasting on avatar items is a penny towards something else. And also, I'd rather get something useful with my MS points than a tshirt for my avatar. There's plenty of things to chose from if I save a few MS points rather than spend them on clothes. And going on your earlier quote of my post, where did I give off the impression I was angry? I'm simply providing a counter logic to the idea that spending money on these virtual clothing items isn't "a waste" when in fact it is. There's no aggression here.. perhaps that doesn't show well on a forum, but whatever.. All I'm saying is when you spend 1$ on a piece of avatar clothing, you could've spent that dollar on something way more useful.

i'm sure there's a lot of things the whiners ("it's such a waste of money! whaaa!") spend their money on in real life that other people would judge as a "waste." so I'm not judging what other people can or can't spend their money on.

no I haven't bought an avatar item, but if they came out with a little sentry gun that transforms like in Team Fortress 2, I'd get that right away and wouldn't care what all the whiney judgers think.

I think the avatars are nice to have instead of just a small static pic. As for the avatar store items there are a few I'd get if they were free or only $1 but they just aren't worth $5 for me.

I'm pretty sure they said something about there being no guns or drugs or smoking items or anything like that offered for avatars.. sorry.

Usually if there is something I really like then I'll get it. Most expensive thing I've bought has been the Ezio outfit. Would be nice if they were cheaper or given as awards for completing games but I don't mind buying them sometimes. :P That being sad I've only bought about 6 things off the marketplace.

I bought the UAV one, but that's all. I had that amount of gamerpoints left so I thought why not? No harm.

Please don't make comparisons to the Wii or any other platform on this board, even a simple one like comparisons of the avatar system.
