OK i was readin my most recent pc gamer magazine (i believe thats what it was) and one of the last articles was about the integration of 360 and pc games on line. Everyone with a brain knows that mouse + keyboard is where its at for fps's and if computers are allowed to play the same games as us with the sensitivity of a mouse and keyboard, its going to ruin online for us. Am i over reacting, reacting to soon, ect? What are yalls thoughts

Man, you guys gotta stop being "worried" about things related to video games. Its not that serious! Anyways, I don't think there will be a problem here. I trust in developers to find a balance somehow between the two control schemes. Even if they don't, I don't think that the two schemes are that unbalanced, really they are just different. Gamepad controls are VERY responsive, though maybe slightly less precise and accurate. Gamepads also have the advantage of being FAR more simple and easy to use. Regardless, I'd rather play with my controller any day. My couch and big screen tv are way better than sitting 2 feet from my laptop screen.

I read a report on a test with the fps game Shadowrun.  In the test they had people on the PC and people on the 360 playing each other to test how it would work out.

I think the result was the 360 gamers won the first round.  PC gamers won the next round then 360 gamers won another round.

I know this is a basic way to compair them but the result was both of them had a fair chance in the game.

MS are bring out a mouse and keyboard for the 360 anyway.  So i don't know if you will be able to use this mouse for games.

Well, its not MS that is bring the mouse and keyboard out, its a 3rd party. Also you can already use any USB keyboard with your 360, but just to type messages. Honestly, this is not a big deal. 360 owners will dominate in any FPS game online against PC users. PC users are soft.

In the xbox 360 gear magazine that is on store shelves now they have an article on a device that hooks into your 360's usb port and will allow you to use a mouse and keyboard on the 360 right now and it will also let you use a PS2 controller as well. At least that's what the article say I haven't seen it in stores yet though.

I was gonna say if M$ was gonna supply a keyboard and mouse to the 360, then the 360 would seem to be nothing more than an add-on to a pc.

It won't make a difference. if computers have more repsonive controllers it will be offset by console gamers who can sit in more comfort

Comfort doesn't really matter, I can sit for 5 hours at a time playing pc games. It will all come down to experience, I know for a fact that I am a better shot with the mouse than the controller, just because I've been playing counter-strike on my pc for many years. In the long run there is nothing to worry about, players will adapt, and adjustments will be made
