The core is still 299, the premium is still 399, you are not required to own an Elite for any 360 game or service and most people don't have any use for it. On the other hand the PS3 still is 200 more expensive for it's low end model then the 360's low end model and still 120 more expensive for it's high end model then 360's high end model.
So, no. You're point isn't valid.Â
yea but dont forget sony has the blu-ray in it so you add the $200 to the premium it is $600 to enjoy next gen movies.dalscowboys22

At least Microsoft makes it an option to buy that, where it's required for Sony. >_>.  Oh, and your average gamer doesn't watch movies on their 360, let alone hi-def movies. Nothing wrong with plain old DVD's >_>

Nobody knows for sure that the extra $200 is all due to the cost of Blu-Ray. For all we know it could only add $50 and the rest of the price be something else.
Like 1% of the population of the world utilizes blu-ray. Take that arguement somehwere else. By the way if you haven't been keeping up..Sony is not exactly making any money off the PS3. Sales are DOWN DOWN DOWN for Sony. You should start seeing some major firing soon.Cabal231% of the population of the world is approximately 600 million people. The Blu-Ray Association could only wish for that many people using it.
