Would you buy a stand alone version of the Splinter Cell Multiplayer "Spies Vs. Mercs" mode? I recently got the bug to play that and since no one really plays anymore I just ended up playing with some bots. But anyway, if they re-imagined the whole mode with updated graphics, gadgets, gameplay, maps etc... would you purchase it for $60?

Just wanted to see what everyone's reaction would be. If the gameplay were different enough, I'd cough up the cash. I know were used to getting a single player campaign along with multiplayer, but conviction is taking so loong to develop and they are barely releasing any new details. This may hold over some loyal fans.

Nah

Not a fan of those games that are so barebones it's not even funny and then users are meant to make their own fun (which usually always fails because of the community)

Getting a scrap like that would tick off a large section of users.

If they need time to develop a new game I'd rather just wait for it. Not see what they have laying around

I would never pay $60 dollars for it. This doesn't make much sense because you can just pick up Splinter Cell: Double Agent for $20. If no one is playing that online then why would they release an online only game of virtually the same stuff, and charge for it?

thye should rebalance the gameplay, there is no way in earth you can beat an experienced player (spy or merc) in double agents multiplayer, maybe more like a splinter cell vs rainbow six

Just put a bit of time into online and get better at it. You will soon learn better tactics from other players, and fighting a group of experienced players becomes a really fun match for both sides. There are still people online playing, though you may have to wait a few minutes for enough players to join a server. The only real downside is that people always play the same maps over and over rather than try them all out. Atleast that makes it easier to learn and master the maps that do get played. SCDA was a bit of a strange game - I really enjoyed both single and multiplayer, despite them being very different experiences. I got it primarily for the single player stealth side, so that is what I would be wanting more of from a sequel. Having a really fun multiplayer was a great surprise. It would be good to see a return of the coop challenges which were just the right difficulty to provide a challenge without being infuriating

Couldn't agree more with this.

I've bought every Splinter Cell game, and have only played them for the single player experience, so I was quite surprised when I learned about how much fun the multiplayer was. I beat every co-op challenge except for the last one, but it was too difficult for my friend and I to beat.
