does it matter that much, does it take that much effort to press up once?We pay for Xbox Live. Shouldn't we be able to select "My Xbox" as the default on the dash? 8)

No, it's just the fact that I'm forced to look at their ads. Most of the time I have no interest in them.

No, it's just the fact that I'm forced to look at their ads. Most of the time I have no interest in them.
That is a good point. You shouldn't have to look at ads in a pay-to-use service.

My eyes weren't closed when I set down fifty bucks on the counter for a year of Live

Honestly, if you're gonna complain about a few ads on something, even if you paid $50 a year for it, you've got problems far beyond that.

Okay, well think about this:
For Xbox Live to stay successful, members have to pay for it to stay afloat, unlike PS3/Wii online play.
APART from that, I'm sure the people at Microsoft get paid for all of the ad views they get. It's like they're taking advantage of us.
