Just wondering, how often does RROD come around on average? I've had my 360 since christmas, and no problems so far. I play tons of demos and stuff and my console is upright and still no signs of it.

Just curious.

I had mine for almost a year an she went bust..

Just depends on how often you use it I spose, and different generations of Xbox

I also recomend laying it down, stand up gives you MORE of a chance for RROD

I've had RRoD once and I got mine after about 2 years of constant use and always having power to the Power Unit. So I was actually quite suprised it lasted so long.

I bought my 360 december 2007, and it gave me my first rrod in september, then it took 2 weeks to get it back, then it took 2 weeks to get rrod again, and now im waiting for it to come back.

I always take good care of my things, so its not my fault, just microsofts lousy repairs and hardware inside the 360.

I had my launch system for 23 months before it RR'd. I've been running this system for about 11 months, and no issues yet. It really depends on a lot of variables, some of which the user has absolutely no control over.

The new 2008 Xbox 360 60 gb Pros are pretty much fine as long as you keep the area they're in well ventilated and put them on top of 2 or 3 dvd cases so the 360 can use the bottom fan, as well as the top fan to cool it down even more.

had mine since summer of 06 and even though I've had RROD a few times (mainly cuz of dust and the intercooler) It still hasn't permanently went out. never had to send it to get it fixed. Quite reliable system for me!

don't have a 360 anymore, but may buy one after xmas - simply for fable 2.

i had my first one from march 2008 to june 2008.. then it died from the RROD. The shop replaced it and then that one lasted 3 months before it no longer read disks. at this point i gave up.

I've been pretty lucky with my 360. I've had it for about 18 months now and only gotten the RRoD once. Thankfully all I had to do was power it down for a while to cool off. After that it worked just fine and I haven't seen a RRoD since. And that happened at least a year ago.

Well'p, seeing as if you just said this, expect the Red Rings of Death TONIGHT. You NEVER EVER EVER make a topic like this because you basically jinxed yourself

To answer your question, there is no set date, and if it hasn't happened yet, you're in good shape for it to last for a while

2 Years and it's still going strong, mind you it's not on every single day of the week and I probably should play it more often.. although once I finally get around to picking up the Autumn releases i've had my eye on it'll get alot of hours clocked in.

dont worry about RROD. if you get it, then you get it, no biggie, just call MS and send it in. Problem fixed end of story.
