Suing Bungie

I haven't played Halo 3 in a while, so I was surprised to find that every single playlist but social slayer is tied to the Mythic map pack.

Am I the only one that thinks this is horribly blatant extortion? I paid 60 bucks for the bloody game plus more for the legendary map packs and yet I am expected to cough up another $10 in order to play the game modes the disc came with? NFW, that is complete crap.

I really think that an injuction could be filed to separate the playlists from the DLC, anyone else agree?

Stop being so cheap and just buy them. You complain but what if you owned them and none of the playlists were tied to mythic? Then you would just whine about that.

Well you obviously can sue Bungie however it is true that they are being cheap bastards with the restrictions. It is entirely possible to have access to all lists (save perhaps a few) without all the map packs. CoD4 does it, you can play any of the online game modes whether you have the map pack or not. I don't know if they will keep this system for MW2 but w/e.

This is just a case of Bungie trying to force people into spending another $30 on a game they already paid for.

actually i agree with you. if i couldnt play RB/GH online bc i dont have new SONGS i would be UBER mad. actually i remeber something like that happening with GRAW2 sometimes i couldnt join friends game bc i dont own the DLC. and i got mad.

i'm pretty sure that it's a Microsoft thing not Bungie. This never happened in Halo 2 (when Bungie owned the Halo license)

It kind of sucks yes, but you will NOT win at sueing M$ over something like this (a playlist or two).

If you love the game buy it. If you don't buy another .. if you're carefull .. next time don't follow the hype and read up on a game before you buy Smitticus

Yes it sucks what M$ has done, and I agree its a big pain in the butt, but this is something that happens. Save your money dude, lawyers are not cheap.

I wish they would have jsut left it how it was before, with ONE MYSTIC playlist, instead of all of them. That was the best imo.

I admit I'm a Halo fanboy but I agree with how you feel. I feel like all the maps were witheld just so they can release the rest for extra profits. after making millions off the game sales I feel like M$ should have appreciated the fans and let us have the maps free. do petitions work?

I think it is lame but suing Bungie is more lame. Also, if you want to play multiplayer wouldn't you want the maps anyway? It seems to me that getting more maps is a good thing.

Hey Bungie call up Treyarch, I can play all the game modes without having to buy the extra maps for Call of Duty:World at War.
