Take Your Pick: Mass Effect 2, or Fallout: New Vegas

Mass Effect 2 already has a lot of support, and we've seen a fair bit of what the combat looks like. It's clear that it will be a huge improvement over the first in terms of story, technical issues, and UI. being able to pull in your Shepard from the first game will also be VERY rad as all your choices will be visable in this game.

Although no footage has been seen of the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas, the previous Fallout (my favorite game of all time) was the best game of 2008 in a lot of people's opinions. It's been said this game will play a lot of Neverwinter Nights, but in a "Fallout" sort of way.

If you could grab either one of those games, right now, but NEVER be able to play the other one, which one would you pick?

Hands down for Fallout.

Mass Effect 2 FTW

Seeing as I have only seen very limited gameplay for Mass Effect 2 and absolutely nothing except the announcement of Fallout Vegas. Gotta go with Mass Effect.

i voted for Fallout but its kinda equal because im completely stoked about ME2 but ive been playing Fallout 3 alot recently and im even more stoked for another one of them

Pretty easy choice... other than the Store ME had nothing going for it and now they're supposedly fixing all of that. I'm still going with Fallout: New Vegas, because of my love for the Fallout Series. I've played them all and they're hands down the best game I've ever played.

ME2. I'm sure that Obsidian will do a fantastic job with Fallout but I'd rather play more Mass Effect.

Definitely Mass Effect 2, just for the story alone.

That's really hard. Mass Effect is my favorite game of all time, followed by every game in the Fallout series, starting with 1, then 2, then 3, and ending with Tactics. But the thing is, Obsidian is making Fallout New Vegas, which is the best thing to happen since the founding of Bioware. I have to say Mass Effect, just because the original Mass Effect was the best game I've ever played and the second will live up to it in every sense. But, Fallout New Vegas is going to put up a hard fight. I just can't get over the fact that Obsidian is making New Vegas! WHOOO!!!

Mass Effect 2. No contest.

Definitely looking forward to both. However, Mass Effect 2 more. Bioware always does great jobs and I adore Mass Effect. I adore Fallout 3, and I'm aware that Obsidian has some of the folks from FO1 and FO2 on their team. But Obsidian just doesn't have the consistent quality that Bioware tends to have. I'll definitely buy Fallout: New Vegas unless its reviews all totally pan it, but Mass Effect 2 definitely for me. ;)

Well Mass Effect 2 is being made by Bioware, who also made the first one. Fallout: New Vegas is being made by Obsidian, who did NOT make Fallout 3. However, Obisidian has an excellent track record when it comes to making sequels out of other developer's games. So I'll still say Mass Effect 2 mainly because the stories in Bioware's games have so much more depth and emotion to them than other WRPGs.

If it was just called Fallout 4 I'd be a little more hyped, but instead I get a stupid sub-title. Oh well... Anyways, Mass Effect 2, for sure. It will be incredible, mind-bogglingly awesome, and AAA for sure, quote me on that if you must.enterawesome

Yeah, New Vegas is a side-title. Using the Fallout 3 engine in an entirely new part of the world. Call it Fallout 3.5 maybe, I daresay they'll tweak the engine in places, but it's pretty much the Fallout 3 engine.

Gotta say I'm surprised so many people are picking ME2 :O Idk, maybe it's just me, but open world games, (especially ones like Fallout) always make me a little wet. :}

I did not know that! Lets just hope they don't screw it up. I voted for Fallout, but I'll be the first to admit that I haven't yet given ME the time it deserves. Hopefully I'll remedy this in the next couple of months.
