If I just had to choose then most defnitely Fallout: New Vegas, but luckily none of us have to choose. I will own both day 1.
Obisidian whom is developing New Vegas has many of the Black Isle crew within it's team so anyone whom has played the original games like myself can only know why I might be more excited about this than Fallout 4 by Bethesda.
I'm wanting Fallout: New Vegas a lot more than Mass Effect 2 at this stage, so Fallout gets my vote.
Fallout. I loved the 3rd installment. The VATS system was awesome, and the environment was a joy to explore. I'm eagerly awaiting New Vegas.
Mass Effect is a good game, but I just can't seem to shake the 3rd person perspective. Not a fan of 3rd person shooters, and that's what ME essentially is when faced with fighting.
I voted for Fallout: New Vegas as I liked Fallout better than Mass Effect. ALSO @HorukuDark - Nice avatar! :DInsultToInjury_Why thank you ;)
people say that fallout 3 is the best game ever and people say that fallout 1 and 2 was the best game ever, then a game thatare probably going to have the fallout 3 engine and the creators of fallout 1 and 2 have to be the best
Remember all the fun you had with fallout 3,killing dukov, get pwned by deathclaws, hilarious diologue at some times, putting over 400+ hours into the game.To pick ME 2 over FO:NV just because you've heard no footage about it is just disgraceful....INFIDELS!!!
Why? One game has a story and the other has one of the dullest stories on Earth. Some people buy RPGs based off of the story, characters, and setting. I enjoyed Fallout 3 a lot as the exploration was a blast and looking for some crazy side-quests was a lot of fun but the story was just horrible. They really need to improve the story in the next Fallout game as I hardly had ANY reason to complete the main quest. As with ME I was dying to see what happens at the end and to see how my choices are going to influence the next game. Though I am pretty sure you were joking. :PRemember all the fun you had with fallout 3,killing dukov, get pwned by deathclaws, hilarious diologue at some times, putting over 400+ hours into the game.To pick ME 2 over FO:NV just because you've heard no footage about it is just disgraceful....INFIDELS!!!

[QUOTE="Logan1616"]I'd get Mass Effect 2. New Vegas is being made by Obsidian, not Bethesda, and I just feel like Mass Effect 2 will be better.DAAVV-O
I did not know that! Lets just hope they don't screw it up. I voted for Fallout, but I'll be the first to admit that I haven't yet given ME the time it deserves. Hopefully I'll remedy this in the next couple of months.
They won't screw it up. half of the team working on New Vegas made Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and most of them work on the Van Buren Project, which is the REAL Fallout 3, before it was cancelled.
Fallout 3 imo was fun but its replayablility was limited and got a bit boring. Mass Effect was superb in which I have played about 5 times now, although also samey the chat system and the ability to change play styles made it imensely fun.
As a result I want ME2 sooo bad and as for New Vegas I really dont give a sh!t as again it will just be oblivion with guns.
I'm guessing you didn't read what I wrote, this game isn't gonna look anything like Oblivion. I forget exactly where I heard it, but it's going to look a lot like Neverwinter Nights they said. Btw, don't be retarded please, Fallout is not "Oblivion with guns", if you wanna use that dumb ass term use it elsewhere, sorry there :}Fallout 3 imo was fun but its replayablility was limited and got a bit boring. That's most politically incorrect description of any game. The only similarity between Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the huge open-world and that Bethesda is the developer. They're both completely different games.

I forgot where they said that too, but I remember hearing that somewhere. If only Bethesda would let them make Van Buren I'd be a very happen person.

The only difference is Oblivion worked well, Fallout just felt weird and the shooting was clunky.[QUOTE="HorukuDark"][QUOTE="G00DANG"]I'm guessing you didn't read what I wrote, this game isn't gonna look anything like Oblivion. I give up. I'm not even going to try and help the uneducated twits realize the truth anymore.

Good cos i wasnt speakin to you. I read your post about neverwinter nights but i really dont think that will make a huge difference, also i doubt that because the official line on vegas is, its not a direct sequel, however the gameplay is the same.[QUOTE="Phoenix534"][QUOTE="G00DANG"] It IS just Oblivion with guns, same basic gameplay, same kind of sidequests and a load of monsters that dont vary no matter where you are. ME2 for me, the storyline was really intriguing and i want to see what happens next. The things i've read about more action shooter based combat and even more customization options(even though im going to keep the default shepard) is very tasty. I just don't get the sense that they are trying to do anything epic with FNV like they are with ME2. FEV is probably for themore for the hardcore rpgers.
Simply based on what I know from the previous games and what we know about the sequels, my vote goes to Mass Effect 2.
Wow, I didn't realise that so many players that liked Mass Effect, didn't like Fallout. I guess it makes sense, since Fallout is a little more of a free roam do-what-you-want game and it's easy to get lost, and Mass Effect has a more guided feel. It's easier for non RPG fans to get into, but still I'm a bit surprised.
Anyway, Fallout: New Vegas gets my vote for now.
mass effect 1 was good but my vote goes with fallout new vegas because of the simple reason that fallout 3 was the most ownage kickass game i eva owned
ps. i wil still get masseffect 2 because i love open world games:D
Mass Effect 2 unless they raise the level cap where it should be and don't make me play extra to get to 30.

I think Obsidian is smart enough to add extra levels.
Hard choice, but in the end I'm more of a sci-fi nerd at heart and Mass Effect executes story telling so flawlessly I'd side with it.
