Team Fortress 2 or Call of duty 4?

Hello gamespot,

I just hooked up my xbox live after a while and I kind of need help deciding which fps game to get, Call of duty 4 or Team fortress 2? I already have a couple other online ones like Halo 3 and Gears, you know, the basics. Please provide a list why you think one is better than the other. And keep in mind, it will always be in split screen. (is that possible for both? like online split screen) BEcause my brother always wants to play with me. So with this in mind, please help me decide. xD

Call of Duty 4 has better graphics and its the same run and shoot game as TF2PlzDuntBanMe

TF2 and COD4 are very different, COD4 is more realistic (at least for a mainstream shooter) while TF2 is more team based and over the top

TF2 doesn't have splitscreen I think (according to GS). COD4 also doesn't have online splitscreen.

i thought TF2 was pretty disappointing. it just didn't feel right for me. i also hear that the 360 version of TF2 has some lag issues. but hey. at least if you get TF2 on the 360, you're basically just getting Orange Box which comes with some great games.

Call of Duty 4 is pretty fun online and can last a long while, but for me personally, the multiplayer kind of got boring after 30-40 hours (which isn't that long if you compare that to the best players). if i had to choose, COD4 would be the better choice. TF2 is a bit more chaotic, mindless, and not quite as deep, but the fact that it is basically part of the Orange Box would make a good excuse to just get HL2 and Portal. if it's really between just these two games and neglecting the rest of Orange Box, COD4's the way to go

But if you want some for the split screen online then Gears and Halo are your best choices.
