I'm getting back into fighting games and at the moment I want to play Tekken 6 and Street Fighter IV still. I was planning on learning to play with a fight stick because I've heard you can get allot better with it and it's also more fun to play. So I was browsing for a good, decent first fight stick and I saw most reasonable ones by Hori go for like 60 bucks at least. Then you of course have the tournament edition fight stick by Mad Catz but that's just an insane 150 bucks I'm not really prepared to spent.

So I came across this Tekken 6 bundle where you get Tekken 6, an artbook and the first ever wireless fight stick by Hori for 99 bucks. I think it's a good price. But I was wondering if anyone had any experience with that particular fight stick? Is it any good for a first fight stick? What are some of the cons I should keep in the back of my head?

Thanks.

I bought the same bundle a few months ago. It's a decent stick, but the price is absolutely terrible. The game itself is only worth about $20. You can find a decent name brand stick for $50. Just buy them seperately online. This is a decent buy too, especially since it ships for free and the game is worth a lot more.

I've had nothing but problems with MadKatz products, so I'll never buy anything from them again, but I've never used a fight stick made by them.

The Madcatz Tournament Edition stick is not like anything else Madcatz has ever made. It uses genuine arcade parts and is literally just like using the controls on an arcade cabinet. I haven't used the Standard Edition stick, but my understanding is that it is not great out of the box but all the parts can be upgraded (if you have the know-how).

As far as the Tekken 6 bundle, I lucked out and got it @$70 off Amazon duringChristmas salegold box deals, and it's totally worth it for that price if you can find it (even though I think Tekken 6 pretty much sucks- though I've never liked Tekken). The stick itself is nothing special per se, but the fact that it's wireless makes it much more versatile (if a bit less responsive).

I think the bundle is worth it. I actually bought that bundle myself. The wireless arcade stick alone is worth the $60 I paid for it. What the person aboved suggested is a pretty good deal. The game might be a little better, but the stick isn't as good. I actually own the Soul Caliber VI addition of that same hori stick in that bundle and i enjoy my tekken 6 wireless one better. I like it better do to that fact it is wirless and it does have 8 buttons instead of 6. Either bundle you cant go wrong with really though.

Been looking at buying this myself. I think it's totally worth it if you're really into the game.

Yeah, I think I might get it. I'll check around to see if I can find it cheaper.

Edit: I just found it for € 69. I'll get that.

my friend said that he bought the bundle for the arcade stick so he can use it for ssf4. i think for the price, the bundle is decent. you can use the controller for other fighting games AND you get tekken. i dont if the game is any good though haha
