This game is truly only for hardcore fans! I cant understand how anyone could think this is entertainment, people giving 9.0-10.0's are getting so many reccomendations for there reviews i just dont understand why. Im sorry I wasnt playing the old Tenchus, but I still dont see any great signifigance in this game. The missions are very repetitive, maybe the people who gave the games good reviews only played the first few levels, because the other 47 will be the same through. Please tell me what you think about this game Tenchu Z, in my opinion people are making it seem much better than it is!

That is not the reason at all. I saw the 4.9 review before I bought it, and I don't have to worry about $60. People want to make an excuse for not playing it. If you haven't played the full retail release, then your point is moot. Different people like different things. Respect what others enjoy, and stop trying to speak for those people.

i dont think meny games are woth 60$ in all reality i mean hell i could buy a game for the 360 and one for the pc both are the exact same...but the pc one is 39.99 and the 360 one is 59.99 make sence? no it dosnt but i know there are a bunk of bumbs out there that will find sence in that im sure there are there allways are.... Heck if microsoft increased the subscription to 30bucks a month there would be people saying there just doing it to make it better for us lol
Dude, different strokes for different folks. Take the movie, Norbit for example... it could be any movie really. That movie got horrible reviews across the board, but theres a lot of people out there who probably loved it (not me, never saw it... just an example). Some people will want to go out and buy the DVD when it's available. My point is, reviews are a personal opinion, and that's it.

I think not, but what score did you give it? A 9.6. Little hypocritical if you ask me.
I'll tell you what, I like the game far better than the garbage you have as your avatar. Tenchu Z is a great game and anyone who enjoys the tenchu series, will like this title. Its a case of a decent, niche game getting poor reviews BTW, you got it all wrong.

Exactly. I hate Tenchu Z. Alot of other people seem to like it. Those people make up their own minds and I could care less what they do. If everyone liked the same games, this industry would be failing.
every should just stop telling each other what to think and everyone should just play it if you don't want to fine if you do I suggest renting or if you just want to buy or borrow it from a friend fine people have different prefences and likes/dislikes what you like is not what somebody else likes thats why people will buy things that you don't like and not buy things that you like.
Bioshock, you get a gold star for using "moot" on these forums. Post of the Day winner. I'd like to try Tenchu if I could get a hold of a rental copy... It's pretty wonky control wise but looks like a bit of fun anyway.
I am enjoying the game.. its not the best game in the world or really well made or anything.. BUT THE FUN FACTOR is very high for me.... being a stealth ninja online with your friends and doing nice finishing moves is ALOT of fun.
I would give this game a solid 7.0 and is one of my fav Tenchu games in the series.
I would reccomend the game to anyone who has liked any of the older tenchu games, who likes ninja games or who wants a FUN coop game on xbox live with friends....

And yeah, the game isn't that great, but the fact is that it has not left my 360 tray since I got it last Wednesday. I've logged 40 hours into it & still haven't had my fill, this game is not that great, but very fun to play nonetheless. So stop concerning yourself with what I spend my gaming $ on & stop worrying about what score I choose to give the game, (although I gave it under a 7), because it really has nothing to do with you.

Honestly the only true sources are the actual Gamespot reviewers. Never trust a random guy who gave it a 10!battlefront23
I trust reader reviews... so long as they aren't one 50 line paragraph, know how to spell and how to structure a sentence, and cover the game in reasonable detail. "This game is awesome! I've spent 50 hours on it, and I'm still playing. The graphics are awesome, and the sound rocks!" and the like is not a good review, regardless of how good the actual game is.
And sorry I care about other people that spend there hard earned money, I was never complaining about others reviews either, I was saying that Bias reviews are persuading people that may not like the game to get it.
Based on the demo i won't be picking it up. Also the review basically said what i was thinking about it.
Reviews are good if you don't just look at the score. I like to look at the review and go ok what did they like about it and what did they hate and weigh that against what i expect in games. I'll buy games that don't get very good reviews only if what is wrong with the game won't bug me.
Tenchu however has a lot of cons. I can see some fun but when with all the other good games i still want to buy that i haven't gotten around to yet it's too lack luster to warrant buying over other top notch games.
Uh, people are allowed to give it whatever scores they see fit. The reviews are based on a person's experience with the game, and thus his personal opinion. It's not a fact that just because a game scores 9 on Gamespot, that means the game will be superb to everyone. Some will hate, others will most likely love it.

The fact of the matter is that players aren't proffesional reviewers. People who do reviews on this site don't get paid to play the game and then write a review about it. They spend their own money and then their own time writing a review on this site. So you should not only respect their opinion, you should take each review with a grain of salt, professional or not.
I almost didn't buy it after reading the review here, but I am glad I went ahead and purchased it anyway. It's easily the best Tenchu game ever made, but if you didn't like the others, this one won't convince you. Here is a fair review... 7.5 from myarcadeplanet.com.
OK, I havent read all the posts so I am just gonna give my take on this. Tenchu Z is like Salmon. It's an aquired taste, you either like it or you dont. You might if you just play it enough get used to it. The only Tenchu game I have played was the first one of PS. But anyways I thought this game was good, could have been better but good. You are right Tenchu does not deserve a 9 or 10, I would give it a 7.1 (average).
I loved Tenchu when it first came out. Unfortunately, this is the same exact game with some minor graphic improvement. It's like the devs went into hibernation 10 years ago and just woke up and made a sequel. Absolutely no improvement in AI, maps, story, or the freakin' game mechanics. It's very obvious that the devs just want to rip people off without spending any significant resources or effort.

The game mechanics were improved dramatically. You can kill around corners, pull dudes off ledges, stab through walls, enemies now smell blood on your clothes, and the core combat is now totally customizable and upgradable. But other than that you're totally correct lol.
