and you wern't in New York, you were in Chicago. and the 'boring WW1' levels are crucial to the storyline. so pay attention when your in there.bobstos
You do leave...but you go back again. And leave again.Luckily you dont spend a whole lot of time there, but you'll be ready to go as you already are. Second time is more worth it. You'll see.seeddrmmr

You should take your own advice and pay attention, because you ARE in New York.

Wrong. You are in New York City. In the game you are given the objective to turn over respect from Paulie's crucial partners in the Chicago family to you, Jackie. That is the only mention of Chicago in the game.
And yes, you go to hell twice. You are in hell 2/5 chapters in the game.
I thought that the first hell level was fun and creepy, and really dramatic. I loved the war music they had going when you weren't fighting, made you feel like you were really fighting a war. The fact that you had to eat the demon's hearts to kill them pissed me off, especially in the Hills part. They'd keep getting back up, because you wouldn't have enough time to eat their heart while trying to kill the other guys coming at you...
Anyway, does anyone know how to get to the turkish baths for level 3? Apparently there's a doorway in one of the subway stations leading to another, adandoned subway station. I check GS' guide, but I can't find it. Thanks in advance

In Fulton Station there is a security door across one of the tracks. It is near the tunnel, so you have to jump down and walk across the train tracks to get toit.
Edit: SorryI mixed up with Gun Hill. You will see one of the guys that is beside the door to the Turkish baths in one of the stations. You just have to look around and you will see a door going through to the tunnels towards City Hall. Then you will go to the Turkish baths.

Yea, but its near(I think, Ive been playing Gears alot lately thoug) I think its near the Grinders Lane staircase. Sorry if Im wrongThe game definitely gets better as it goes on. I still don't think that it deserves quite the score that it got, but for a mid-summer release...not too bad. If this game was released in october or november, I think it would've gotten a 6.5 or 7. The story is good stuff, but the controls aren't great and the guns are pretty weak.
Also, I fully realize the irony in complaining that a game called The Darkness is too dark, but christ...half the time I can't see anything. I really wish that things would be a little bit more visible when you've got your snakey demon arms out.
That said, my first trip to WWI was irritating...but the second round is better, especially because you're more powerful. The Black Hole power is sick.

He says several things about being in new york in the cutscene loading screens things when you go to a different part of town. Anyone else find it funny that the majority of people were in the subway? I was lookin forward to killin a lot of people but no, you cant get anyone in the subway.[QUOTE="bobstos"]and you wern't in New York, you were in Chicago. and the 'boring WW1' levels are crucial to the storyline. so pay attention when your in there.killercuts3

Well not exactly hell, you're in the Darkness' mental perspective of hell.
The Hills was the most boring segment of gameplay in the whole game. Tough it out to get to the awsome parts that are coming up. G4mbl3Seriously. I wandered for 15 minutes before finding the guns. Does anyone know if the demons in WWI die if you kill them with any of thedarkness powers? Or do you have to kill them with the Darkness guns?
