It was the first Christmas that the Xbox was out, but at the time I wanted a PS2. I went over to my uncle's place, and he had bought an Xbox.
I asked him, "Why the hell did you buy that thing? It sucks."
He started laughing really hard. He was playing Halo CE. He quit out, set up the game from the first level, and handed me the controller. I played the game on Easy first, then on the next level I played on Normal. After that, we went out and bought a second controller so we could play Co-op.
We sat there playing Co-op on Halo CE for over 9 hours straight. We were playing on Heroic difficulty, and barely got to the level "343 Guilty Spark," the 6th level. My father came by to pick me up, and saw we were playing. He sat down and watched for about another hour.
When we finally left, I instead requested that my gift that year not be a PS2, but an Xbox with the game Halo.
Not once have I ever regreted my dicision. I play Halo CE to this day, and continue enjoying the games I play on my Xbox and 360. Ninja Gaiden owns!
Saddly, I spent the money to get a PS2 the next year, and it's pretty much sat there collecting dust, except for when I played DMC 1 & 3 on it... and GTA... which I hated GTA.
I decided not to get a costly PS3 simply because of my lack of interest in the PS2... and a price tag that made my testicles shrivle up into my body.Thankfully, my friend bought a PS3, so he comes to my place to play the 360, and I go to his to play the PS3... which so far he just has Resistance... and a remake of Ninja Gaiden. He had Lair for maybe 3 hours... he was PISSED.
Bring on the MGS4!... and Mass Effect!... and Assassin's Creed!... and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune!... Yeah!!
