Please do not make new threads in the 360 forum about Halo 3. We kindly ask that users limit their Halo 3 posts to this thread, the other stickied thread about the review, or use the Halo 3 forum. We apricate this situation is not ideal. We're not fond of it either. However, it is the best solution we have to prevent the 360 forum from being overwhelmed with Halo 3 topics. Without such a thread the whole 360 forum would only be about Halo 3 (many of those topics duplicates) making it useless for anyone looking to post about something other than Halo 3. As such we ask users to limit their posts to the stickied threads or the deticated Halo 3 forum. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

If you've got a Best Buy near you try there. I went to my local Best Buy today and they had what looked like nearly 100 copies stacked up, and that was after doing a midnight release the night before.

Got halo at midnight, beat it on legendary by 6 am. Not having too much fun with matchmaking.

9.5 is extreme. I think the hype definately helped this game. I understand the content alone will last players months and months but the gameplay is simple and the graphics arent on par to the rest of the 360 collection. To each his own. secondomen

thats what i was saying when i played it last week. the graphics arent great, but the gameplay is pretty much like halo2, so thats a good thing. gameplay is what matters.

This sucks...I had to work the midnight launch event last night, was working until 2:30 AM...Had to get up at 7 to work this morning, AND I have class tonight. I'm never going to get to play my beautiful Legendary edition :cry:

I don't know if they just tweaked some things from the beta build, but so far there is a big difference in on-line between the two, and it is for the worse. The beta had solid hit detection and seemed alot more balanced. I'm curious to see if this is just because it just launched and there are a few little things to iron out or if it will suffer the same ranked experience fate as Gears of War. I'm really hoping for the first because it has alot of potential to be that game the reviews say it is and that everyone wanted it to be.

Can't wait to co-op and play through the SP, though. I won't make a final review of the game until then and many more hours on-line. These were just first impressions so far. I know last night there were issues actually playing a ranked game for some, but that seems to have been quickly resolved.

Well since im grounded from 360to friday(and unfortunatly cant get the game I paid for), I haven't got to play much more than 30 minutes of it. But what I've played so far, The overall graphic design destroys any game out right now, and the technical part of the graphics might not be much better than Gears but the superiority is there. Gameplay is beautiful for me, not a single bit of Halo 2's sour taste in my mouth, and live is the most fun i've had in 15 minutes in a long long long time.

I cant wait till friday.

i DID have the ring of death..

but i just turned it on again and it'll start to the game... then freeze. or it'll just freeze at the startup logo.

i thought you could play 4 plsyer co-op on the same screen???

i just tried and it said you couldonly have 2 people per TV

That sucks even worse, if you send it in, and they check it, and it magically doesnt happen when they test it, they'll send you back a broken 360, or expect you to pay 90 dollars for it.

yea you can do everything the same. Most people might find it really boring though. I myself was flying around for about 20 minutes of me being on the game in forge by myself(haven't gotten my copy, and didnt spend the time figuring out how to do multiplayer forge).

if it magically works for them, id be pissed. i dont even want to send it in... it takes too long. im still trying.. ive reset it about 89621 times already.. same problem. anyone knwo if gamestop takes broke 360's? ill just trade the **** in...jaa1984

Best Buy has a pretty nice deal, I went there at lunch today since i was just going to "look" :) I got the regular edition and it came with a free t-shirt, poster, and intec camo headset.

That's effed up. Dont sit there hoping it will stay like that though. Just grit your teeth, leave it on for a couple of days, blow some dust into it, and it shouldnt work at all. That way you ensure you'll be getting a good console, instead of just getting screwed over. It worked for my friend when I suggested it to him.

haha, thats the mystery x button. not a button. x button doesnt reload anymore.. it lays out equipment. and that was announced a while ago.

anyone else notice the marines cant drive to save their lives. I havent played much but I did the first vehicle mission and ended up walking the whole damn thing because they just couldnt drive anywhere...hell he got stuck so I drove the car out, got back in the turret and he didnt drive the correct way, then got stuck again..darksusperia

A lot of people have said this, and it is even mentioned in the video review. The best way to get around this is to just drive yourself and let the marine control the turret
