Has anybody played Split Screen on a HDTV?

If so is there no way to fill the entire tv screen?

Finally, the 360 has a game with a score of 9.5. with the release of Halo 3. It took long enough but we all knew the 360 would eventually join the editor's choice club with a solid game title. I don't have a 360 and I'm glad I don't because the system has had too many hardware problems and not enough high scoring games to justify purchasing it.cukoo

i heard that changing the resolution to 480p will fill out the screen, not sure yet.

How do you join co-op games in Halo 3? The multiplayer loby is just as confusing as it was before. How do I choose which game type I want to join. For example, say I want to join a CTF match with 16 players, how do I do that?-Unreal-

It wasn't, the only problem I had was that the instruction manuals to both cases (game disc & essentials disc) were kind of wrinkled. Other than that everything came in perfect. :)

Ok after playing it I don't see why everyone is so upset about the graphics, it's a beatiful game, and saying that it's only a slight improvement over Halo 2 sounds like a very dumb statement to me. Only on third level, but overall one of the best games I've played... umm.. ever...dawgsfan1447

ok well my friend has halo 3 and im going over to his house to play it tomorow cause my 360 is outn for repairs. Now keep in mind he is not the smartest person so there is a very good chance he is wrong. But he tried to test the 4 player coop with 3 controllwers and says it didnt work...so i would like to know if it is ppossile to play 4 players on a single tv or if you HAve to be online for 4 player co-op?????

and if u cant play offine 4 player co-op, can you play versus with 3 friends?

I got problems with going online with Halo 3. I got Gold LIVE, and was playing online a couple hours ago. I go to eat dinner, come back, and I cant get online in Halo anymore!

The game says im connected to LIVE but when I go to matchmaking it disconnects me! WTH?! Help?

It automatically saves.

Go to theatre, Recent... and you'll see a bunch of saved movies of games you've played.

i know its suppsoed to take awhile, cause i changed my characters appearance but the "player snapshot" didnt change until today. but how long, rly?

Why do you think that Halo is such a huge game? Is it the story, the way Master Cheif is a cool character, the kool style of gameplay, or just a combination of all the elements that make up a video game???mattzz10

I dont know about everyone else but for me Halo is the first game i played that made me feel like i'm apart of a epic battle and my actions can tip the scales. Its like the weight of the world is on my shoulders and everyone depends on me. I hated first person shooters until i played halo 1 for xbox. Its the whole story that makes halo as huge as it is.As i play it the story and the battle sequences pulls me inmaking me think that i'm really fighting a war to save humanity. It also makes more sense to me that the chief is specially trained from birth that allows him to do what he does. THan rather it being some random marine that is a super soldier just because you play him. Halo 3 got me feeling the butterflies like when i first played the first one its that good if you like games and going wild with a assault rifle GO GET IT NOW Legendary edition doesnt seem expensive after you have the master chief helmet in your hand its to cool gotta see to believe it. Halo and Gears of War greatest games ever

yes lol, a lot of people are spreading a certain something in the plotline (the people who have finished the game will know what i'm talking about) because they didn't see what happened after the credits

Hi All

There is a God and he accepted my animal sacrifice I just called Play.com they got my Halo 3 Collector's Edition back and they told me they got new stock in of the corrected versions so I should have my replacement by next Wednesday.

I can't believe I got to wait another week to finish the fight and my friends don't have the X360 so I can't lend one.

But at least it's on its way again I thought it take weeks.

SPOILERS BELOW

The last three levels were pathetic, the flood 'stronghold' was just outright lam like we came full circle since halo 1. The guy that came up with the idea for the last three maps deserves a well aimed kick in the balls. The ending was far from epic or interesting and left alot open in terms of Master Chief magically reappearing in another game etc.

Dont get me started on the last level, way to end an epic trilogy with a bloody trial and error driving mission and an unfullfilling ending.

pre-order Halo 3 Legendary Edition

Picked it up on Tuesday. Was scratch but worked fine.

Went to play it on Wednesday, but would not work.

Had to return it, but they did not have any other legendary editions.

Had to settle for the regular edition of Halo 3

Quick question, everytime I do either the campaign or multiplayer split screen with 1 other person (haven't tried more) the screen defaults to the 4:3 ratio. I've got an HDTV, and it's really annoying! Playing single player takes up the whole screen, but anytime I play with someone else I get the black bars on each side.

I'm using a 720p/1080i Samsung DLP 46" TV. I believe my 360 is set to 720p.

Anyone else getting this? Is it correctable?
