I'm only a casual 360 gamer but I was thinking of picking up the Microsoft Steering Wheel with Project Gotham Racing 3 but I couldn't get a straight answer as to whether the wheel came with pedals if it was just a wheel. So could someone clarify this for me? Also is it worth it overall?

It costs 120 euro's or from what I understand 150 bucks in the US. So, yeah, it comes with the pedals :P

I have it. It's great and in my opinion totally worth it. You can place it on you're lap or mount it on a table or desk from where ever you play. It comes with a mounting unit and it's steady as a rock when locked in. Also, you should know it's not totally wireless. For Force Feedback you need to plug in an adapter to an power outlet and the wheel. And there is a wire from the pedals to the wheel, but that's not that big of a deal.

Oh, and I heard some rumours there will be a pack with the wheel and Forza 2 pretty soon. So you might want to get some info on that.

Can I also ask how big the packaging is? I know thats a wierd question but I was just hoping if I could get it on the back of my motorbike. If not I'll have to go in on the bus and get it.

Well, it is quite large. If you remember how big a Xbox 360 box is; it's about 4 of those I'd say.

It does come with a brake pedal & gas pedal, and in my opinion it is worth it. Way more fun than the controller for racing games.

No. So far it only works with these games:

  • Forza 2 (Fully optimized)
  • PGR3
  • Need for Speed Carbon
  • Test Drive Unlimited

And the wheel itself isn't as big as 4 boxes, but the box it's in sure is. The Xbox 360 box is very small. It definitely fits in there about 4 times.

Aw, drag. Burnout's the only driving game I care about these days. Oh well, it plays good enough with a controller.

Very. When fully extended it definitely fits on my head for example. :P I can check in a moment.

Haw! I won't ask why you know that.

Glad to hear it though. My tabletop has drawers incorporated into either end so it's a bit thicker than usual.

hey qucik question.

The only place i can think of hooking it up would be on my computer desk. if so would there be enough room for the clamps to screw in, etc when my keyboard thing is right below. how much space do you need under the table for the clamp(s)?
