superman 64joker730Especially if you paid for it and then lost the receipt, so you couldn't return it :P.
I found Bioshock's world to be great... just so different than anything else out there and i can't wait to delve into the back story... sure it's a little bleak and creepy but i don't find it depressing.
Depressing comes from Call of Cthulhu... in the opening cutscene, you character hangs himself... that lets you know you in for a crazy game.
dead rising was depressing after i beat it knowing every1 diesXxSPAZxX
Thanks for ruining that for me. I told my parents to get me this for my Birthday.
I totally agree with you, everytime I finish playing the Demo it leaves me feeling depressed.. I hope the game has a happy ending..
I Just want to play the game and save all the little sisters and everyone else so they can live happily ever after lol..

lol knowing how unforgiving and savage this game is, I am going to expect a cold and merciless ending.
..is BioShock.
I mean the graphics are outstanding, and the game engine works fantastically and there really is alot of innovation in the game, especially for a first person shooter.
However I just cant get over how disturbingly depressive this game is lol. Everytime I picture the BioShock demo its always a depressing and rather disturbing thought of decayed children, messed up little girls, and savage people being brutally murdered by each other or the terrifying big daddies. The whole thing just seems very...miserable :P.
I understand this may insult some of you who absolutely worship this game to days end. But to be honest this is more a point than me trying to bash the game.
Anyone else feel the same ::? ?
p.s In no way is this a BioShock flame, the game looks fantastic and it really do believe it will succeed.

its a game and thats how i see it, i feel the setting is how its suppose to be for the point of the game, but thats all it is... too many people can never seperate reality from games, a game is just to put you in that fantasy tye world with no regrets or consequences from what you choose to do. it looks awesome and the atmosphere from what i saw in the demo is just as awesome cant wait to play it next week
[QUOTE="TheShadowLord07"]F.E.A.R. can be depressing. Everyone that tries to help you dies the end and your all alone. Its stroyline as well. I know that ALma(the main charcter of them) is evil and all but you in some you do feel sad for her. Scientist did something to her that killed her and now she is like a Spectre. Even some of its music is kinda depressing. And The Darkness. I mean you would upset to if a police officer killd your girlfrined. And when your in like World War 1, all the soliders are like have striches some are evil talking when their dead. But I will have to agree that Bioshock looks depressing too.hama666
FEAR: Again with FEAR It was mostly cheep scares, yes there was a creepy atmosphere but unfortunately when I think FEAR, I think "The Ring", and for some reason I found that movie humorous so I found it difficult taking FEAR seriously :P
As for the darkness, well practically everything evil and brutal in the game is you. So really the fact that it is YOU who is so terrifying and brutal just takes away the scare factor.
what about when u go into hell and what not? that was weird and creepy to me
[QUOTE="Blood_0f_Moon"]The Bioshock demo made me cry... The part with the girl in the bathroom with her dead baby, made me so freakin sad... (I lost my baby son last November)hama666
Sorry for your loss :(
Thanks,everything happens for a reason...
I'm still getting this game though

Yeh that bit was pretty creepy, but when the game really kicked off you really felt Jackie's thirst for revenge
silent hill 2 was depressingssgohan2099
Silent Hill 4 was REALLY depressing - especially when you get about 1/2 way thru the game and realize you have to play some of the same levels again & again.....but just being stuck in the room w/ the annoyingly creepy music etc.
