Ok I got three red lights and sent my Xbox 360 in for repairs. It is very nice for Microsoft to pay with the warranty and to send me a box for my console. It is also nice that they have a website that show what the repair status of your console along with your info and warranty status. Now the website need the most attention since it is telling me I have "no pending repair" when I sent my 360 to the repair center. Not so bad anymore when it now says "Device received at Service Center". That's good to hear. After a few days the serial number on the console changes and now says "Device Shipped to Customer" and wow a tracking number to go with it! I think it all great until I use the I guess now faulty tracking number to see that my console is being shipped all over Mexico and really should be going to where I live, Texas. Is it going a plane, train, or automobile? Who knows? The next bad thing is when I need to refer back to service website all the info about my repair is now erase and it says "You have no registered devices." So I call the customer service and speak a nice guy who I guessing might be from Indian somewhere. I give him my info and reference number. Now he tells that my console is still at the Repair Center and has not been shipped.
Look I don't want to be mad at Microsoft or UPS. They are just average companies to me and companies like that will have its share of mistakes. I just feel unfortunate to be one of the people that suffer from their mistakes. To have I would say great console to break down and have to go through the bureaucracy of getting it repaired I do feel much sympathy for anyone who has already been through this. The simple thing I ask is just to have my console back. I know that I don't deserve special treatment since they're people that desire the same thing I do. They need their consoles back too.
One of the greatest titles to come to the 360 has been release today, yes Halo 3. To not have the opportunity to enjoy this well crafted game is a real let down. I would love to support Microsoft and its products but to have problems like these can make me reconsider sometimes. I will just keep waiting and hoping that things will get better each time and that maybe future generation of gamers don't have to deal with this mess and have more time to enjoy the games.
Microsoft and UPS I hope you can help me.
