For those who are saying that tvs have VGA inputs, check again. Alot of the PC inputs on newer tvs is actually an RGB input which doesn't support a few features that VGA does. This is true for all of the Sony's. Using it for a PC looks fine, but using RGB inputs with a 360 is what's causing the wash-out effect. If MS doesn't release a patch addressing the VGA wash-out, then HDMI will be the only way for alot of us to get both the richness of component with the sharpness of VGA. I made a topic last night wondering if a HDMI cable would be possible for those of us not wanting to upgrade to the new 360, but I'm sure MS won't do it as this would lose them sales for MKII. Technologically, it should be possible and it really sucks that a good portion of 360 owners will miss out on HDMI so MS can make even more money.
I'm still not believeing anything until MS gives the official word on it.ColoradoKindBud
Agreed.
I do have a 1080p television and I am enticed to get a digital hookup if available... my PC monitor is hooked up through DVI and the color pops more than the VGA. Definitely a big improvement. The hard drive matters much less to me, as I still have 12 or 13gb free. The black color is a turn-off for me... I like the white 360, looks sleek and matches all the accessories I've already purchased... three controllers, wireless adapter, play and charge, etc.
This makes me laugh! I wonder how long before a forth 360 is coming out with HD-DVD built in it. Come on MS you should be ashamed of yourself for such milkage.

Yeah, that's the other thing...No press release from MS....that is really strange...everyone is saying it's a go, but no big announcement....
Perhaps MS have something else up their sleeve for the elite version, which might make it worth the money, maybe a built in HD-DVD drive or something.
