Does anyone notice any choppyness if you look closely .....is this really just how the game runs.cause i just got a new 360. and just got GTA 4 and i noticed that the framerate chops up a bit.. just a bit when maybe in a big area or running down. a street..Can anyone tell me if this is just how the game runs..or is there a way to fix it...cause i have a kinda big tv.. if u have a smaller tv u dont notice the choppyness as much people say..so even if somone got a suggestion on how to fix it it would be great.

Mine has run the same way since day one. You can't rotate the camera 180 degrees without getting little hiccups, and running down the street isn't very fluent. Plus, it doesn't matter what time of day or the amount of objects on the screen at once -- it's all the time. If there is a fix, I don't know of it -- sorry. But honestly, I've gotten so used to it, I barely notice.

Perhaps it's something to do with the Xbox 360 - because the disc works fine (and has no scratches).

Yep, that's just how it runs. Must take alot to run that game, but yeah if you rotate the camera quickly or drive fast through the second island especially, you get some noticeable chop. i just got used to it.

You know something crazy happened one time when I was playing, the whole area went blank for about 10 seconds or so.

I've experienced a number of glitches so far. For instance, (*SPOILER ALERT*) the mission where the russian boss tells you to kill a guy. You chase him to the edge of a rooftop and you're given the choice to spare him or kill him. I chose to kill him and Niko stomped the guy's hands, dropping him from the roof. The camera panned down to the ground and you hear the guy scream and then a splat. But the game didn't draw the guy, as if he was invisible.

i've seen the same thing. It can probably be attributed to the amount of pixel generation the game requires, and the video card for the 360 has a slower draw rate than can keep up with all the detail in the environment.

the 360 version is very choppy indeed..pop in etc...im on my 3rd playthrough this time on 360 for achievements....but a game like that..with 360...nothing that can be done...limited space..what can ya do.....the achievements and xbox live is worth it tho...

o and dont flame.........cause i assure you...i actually played both versions thoroughy...these reviewers have not played both versions...they rushed through one playthrough to have the review up quickly to generate hits on the website....with there personal console of choice heavily weighing in on the decision of clarifying what one is what

anyone who played both.....thoroghly...knows.....for instance...ill give you something little...the ps3 has one more view for the tv when you watch it......and gay tonys online profile is more in depth..those are trivial and dont matter...but trust me, theres more....exactly the same?...not at all...

also....iv been hearing instences of people who said that ''I played for about 6 hours last night and it ran perfactly smooth'' then when they turned it back on .. It wasnt running smooth like they noticed the framerates...I think this is because the farther u get in gta 4 .. The more INFORMATION the game has to hold on the disk drive ect. Some known things to fix the choppyness and framerate that i havnt tried is

1.Turn on GAME MODE if u have a HD television

2. After the very first save..Yes like starting a new game and after the very first save. after it saves restart your console.some say it fixes the framerate but i dunno.

Ive never really noticed it, but i have seen it rarely. The only time i got huge Lag was when i was doing the 'Chain Reaction' Achievement and blew up about 12 cars in a few seconds on screen.

http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/digitaljoystick/archives/132014.asp?from=blog_last3 This is somthing i have just seen...Motherboards have been different throughout different times of the year for xbox 360s...So like older ones will gun gta 4 better. cause the new ones arnet as good. but the if u have an older one it has a better chance of breaking. cuase the reason the older ones where messing up was because it was somthing to do with the motherboard... so read the article. in the like fall there will be a new motherboard out and it is suppose to be really good.

I have it for my 360 and my friend has it for the PS3 and it does the same on both systems. Sometimes it will be fine and sometimes it won't. Then you can go bach through the same area a different time playing without a hiccup. That is my experience with it anyway.

This game is exactly like every other GTA since number 3. It's choppy and occasionally glitches. I don't think it's as big of a problem, at least this time around they could possibly patch it if they wanted to, but I'm not holding my breath. The frame rate issues and glitches didn't stop me from playing any other GTA game and it didn't stop me this time either.
