I had an Elite console that got RROD about a year and half ago. Im From Israel and they dont repair consoles out here.

So now im considering buying my second 360. my question is: is there a new model like the Jesper or something where the RROD problem is gone or at least occurs very rarely? cause i dont want to buy a 2nd 360 and have it RROD after 2 months without being able to fix it...

thx.

Yeah buy a Jasper 360 console - new smaller chips mean less heat and much less chance of RROD.

Consoles made after June/July 2009 with 12.1A very likely to be a Jasper.

I have a lot of 360 games so i think it would be a waste of money to buy a PS3 or a Wii and then have to also buy games for those consoles. I also dont want a Wii and im a big Halo and Mass Effect fan so the 360 is my favorite over the PS3.

So the Jasper is the best version right now? Any one had some trouble with it?

Definately go for it! Especially if you have a library of 360 games going to waste without being played!

I've had a Jasper 360 since last Christmas and I haven't had any problems with it. I've ran it pretty hard too, there have been multiple times that I've had it on for 10+ hours (damn 7-Day Survivor achievement in Dead Rising) and it hasn't given me any problems at all.
