This really shows somethings are lost to history....sigh....It called "Black Friday" because it was the biggest shopping day of the year. When most stores got out the red (negative profits) and back into the black (positive profits) on the books.
So i stayed up all night so I could go to the KB toys by my house for the buy 1 get 1 deal, i get to the store and all they have are old PS2 games, gameboy advanced and some old nintendo ds games i ask the manager where are the 360 games he just says we dont carry 360, ps3 or wii games, i was so pissed. so i ran to bestbuy got in the store and they seriously had nothing worth waiting in those lines for so i considered target but the line was wrapping around the store, this black friday the sales were horrible, the people were ignorant and the stores were posting false advertisments. Yay for black friday. I went to gamestop hoping that maybe i could get The Orange Box, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 on the buy 2 get one, they had The Orange Box but the only copy of Mass Effect used is down in a very bad area of Detroit which im not going to for a video game, and none of them have COD4.
Well new games are kinda hard to be on sale this day but I saw and ad that had The Orange Box, Bioshock and maybe Halo 3 for $48 that's some deal I tell you.
I Finally came across a 32in LCD HD tv at Cons for about 500$ .... and its Samsung baby. took me a little while to find but i new there some place with tv's on sale :D
I finally got a 360 today. Bought the Elite, along with Halo 3, but when I got home, the little panel covering the USB ports was broken because a spring came out, so I decided to return it. The store didn't have any left, so now I'm stuck with no 360. :(
Got the Boondocks, Martin Season 3, Simpsons season 5, Family Guy volume 3 and 4 15 each, 300 special edition for 7 bucks, Band camp 10 bucks, Hostel Part 2 10 bucks, Compton's most Wanted cd and don't be a menace.
About to go to gamecrazy to buy Rainbow 6 vegas for 20.
black friday is the infamous day after thanksgiving where supposedly just about everything is on sale and i think is the biggest sales day of the year.
There was nothing on sale, nothing! No games worth getting, no accesories worth buying. Nothing! :cry:
I suppose if you wanted a year old Guitar Hero II you could get it for cheap, but I don't care to buy that kind of games. COD4 was like $12 cheaper; big whoop! GameStop has makes you buy TWO "USED" games to get only ONE free. I don't even want TWO games that are USED! All I really want it COD4 and maybe Guitar Hero III. But I ain't paying $over $80 for no bogus guitar, arcade style game.

Agreed, but the only game that you mentioned that I want is COD 4 (for pc, don't have an xbox 360) Black Friday did suck this year for games and traffic where I live was5 times as thick and dangerous (Ido drivedrive:), safely). But do you really only have to get video games, whats wrong with a good book (WILD FIRE by NIELSON DeMILLEor a greatmovie (LIVE FREE or DIE HARD), or some sporting goods or even new clothing?? Life doesn't always have to be about video games.

Damn my luck, I spent like $24 on my 300 two disc special edition!!:? Where did you get yours for 7 bucks??
I went to Circuit City and got the gold DS for 139.99 which isnt bad compared to the regular price of 159.99 or so in other stores like Best Buy. Guitar Hero 2 was like 59.99 for PS2. They had some games like COD2, Sonic Rush, Matrix PON, Call of Jueraz and few old 360/PS2/DS for 9.99. They had a great deal on DVDs ranging from 2.99 to 5.99 (except recent titles like Live Free Die Hard, Shrek 3, Spidey 3 etc)
All and all there were decent (at best) sales on video games, but as stated before in this forum-- its for the casual consumer, not gamers.
well actually with walmart , every days a sale for them ... and not many things were on sale as far as games i dont have aside from the buy 2 used game crap which , at my pawn i can get those cheap any day of the week , and gamestop does that deal alot of times, not just on black fridays its random but it is the biggest sale day no doubt if your into sheets etc etc ya know, and another thing the malls are dangerous , today some one got hurt ,,
thats what i payed for call of duty 2 a month ago at gamestop,, coulda got it cheaper though lol . at my pawn they had it for 8 $ since it was such an old game

Yeah I picked up quite a few games today at Best Buy because I had a reward zone coupon giving me triple points on my total purchase. I wanted to get two copies of Call of Duty 4 for the 360 at $48/each but they would not match it because they had their own deals. I almost got the stupid clerk to match it but not really a big deal since I'm sure I can get it some time in the future with a free $10 gift card and then they will price match.
