It was pretty cool. I still can't stand the fact that you can't move when you are shooting in RE games and I hate the lack of urgency when running (and the fact that there is no dodge button or anything). It was still a fun demo and I would like to try the co-op on it for sure. It's a rental for me though, that's it.

I was having Network Troubles since Saturday, and a ass of a time getting the 360 to connect to the net, by the time I downloaded It off of the marketplace and it finished I didn't feel like playing to much, although I did play 5 mins, I agree the controls are crappy though, but I do enjoy the demo so far.

Are you guys all new to gaming? It controls just like all the other RE games, with a camera system like RE4. While I admit not being able to run-and-gun seems a bit dated as a concept it just works with Resident Evil, and works well. I've played through the demo a few times over the last couple weeks and I have to say I'm pretty excited for the game. The only real complaint I had was that it almost seemed too hard initially, but once I figured out you need to get the hell out of the house at the beginning of the first level I didn't have any trouble.

I think this game's going to be incredible.

I think it's like playing RE4 but with better grapics. I played it and I think the Wii version of RE4 got me spoiled. I just loved RE4 on the Wii. Microsoft needs a motion controller.

I understand that it's like the other RE games but I'm just saying there are a few things they should change to make it more accessible. Why do I have to feel like my guy doesn't even care that there is a zombie right behind him because he turns like a snail and jogs around. Give my guy some more speed and let him tuck and roll once in awhile! That's all I'm asking! I'm not asking for the world, just part of it...

its good, stays true to RE4 which awesome. I loved RE4 with action pack goodness and RE5 seems to be atrue succesor in style and controls. Ill have to play RE4 again before RE5 comes out.

I thought it was good, but a little hard, and that real-time menu is not a good idea in my opinion. But after I got used to it I was having fun.

I thought it sucked. In the "new generation" they should give gamers more freedom. They should let us choose "classic controls" ie:unable to move while shooting or "new controls" ie: able to move while shooting. They slap a fresh coat of paint on RE4 and call it a new game. Pathetic. .

Abhorrent. Also, the reason you can't melee and move is because the game would become a pushover. That said, the lack of such actions makes it garbage to me. Too slow to be a shooter, not scary enough to be a horror game, too boring to be a survival game... Yeah... At least it has co-op? -_- Pass.

I guess I'm the minority here but I thought the demo was amazing. I suppose the controls aren't for everyone, since so many people seem to not like them. I still love the controls and gameplay. I can't wait for this game.

I liked it alot... i mean if you was able to shoot and move at the same time i think that the game would be to easy and then everyone would complain that it was to easy so to me keeping it the way it is fine for me although i would like to reload and move at the same time

Yeah, I really think that they should evolve a little in the controls area. I liked the demo, but the fact that you can't move while shooting is incredibly annoying. Annoying enough to seriously degrade the enjoyment; for me anyways.

I absolutely love it, it's a blast when I get to play it with experienced players. But it sucks when someone just does his own thing and dies by the hammer man. The only complain I have is about the D-Pad, they should display what button does what just like in other games.

the controls just felt weird to me

i also didnt like the way you access your inventory, it's a pain in the ass and leaves you vulnerable

I also felt that you take too much damage, but i haven't played RE4 in a while so I can't compare it to it's predecessor

I knew the controls were probably going to be my biggest problem with the game; I need to find a way to get a GCN controller working on the 360!

I thought it was pretty good. Kept me entertained but probably can't say it looks like one of those games I just couldn't stop playing or take a break from. Will probably rent it though.

I liked the demo, but there were some alarming issues I spotted. There are two that I want to mention. My biggest gripe is that you can't run and shoot. I understand they are trying to intensify the urgency, but it seems more like an inconvenience. I understand why you couldn't run and gun in the previous RE games (which wasn't really needed back then). It begs the question: How can people like Chris be successful as a STARS officer if he can't run and shoot at the same time? We live in the year 2009. These controls feel outdated to me. All the other third person type shooters can run and gun; i.e. Gears of War and Mass Effect. I don't consider RE4 to be a horror game. Resident Evil games stopped being survival horror games after Code Veronica. RE4 was more of an action game that horror game. There's nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I think it was a good move. However, since RE5 is a sequel to RE4, shouldn't the gameplay be better? Why isn't it? If anything, it feels a little clunky. But, it is just a demo. My second complaint is the lack of hotkeys. If I'm running low on ammo for one weapon, I don't want to deal with the clumsy inventory menu just to switch my weapon now that accessing the inventory screen is all done in real time. Why not use the D-pad to hotkey some weapons? Why not use a button that cycles weapons for selection? However, I think Dead Space did a good job with the whole inventory access during real time. This isn't my biggest gripe, but it would have been very helpful to have hotkeys to switch between weapons. It may sound like I'm ripping this game apart. Don't get me wrong, I do have some issues with some things, but it was still a very good demo and I'm still interested in this game. There's a lot of storyline I would like to see explained and with Chris at the helm in this game, it makes the game that much better. I have a feeling it will be great.

There are hot keys. Up is your pistol and left is your secondary weapon....
