I played the trial, I have loved all Castlevania games up till now, but this is total crap, no story, levels are all timed, and characters are slow and weak as hell, I almost just bought the game instead of downloading the trial, glad I didn't, on of the worst Arcade games out there, and nothing like Castlevania, I recommend anyone who is thinking of getting this get SotN instead.

I'd like to try the multiplayer before I spend the points on it but overall I thought it was still enjoyable. It certainly isn't as good as SoTN but I think it could still be fun. That being said I don't think I am going to buy it for a while and wait and see if it gets a little cheaper or if there is a limited time deal on it.

I'm dying to know! Who is number six? It says 6 player co op, but they've only shown 5 characters- Alucard, Soma, Jonathan, Charlotte, and Shanoa.

i bought the game and at first it was pretty lame but after you get enough money to buy better stuff and get better drops the game is much better. On top of that the multiplayer is where its at for the game. The levels open up more for the players in multiplayer. Like after goign through the levels in single player i notice alot of short cuts i could have been using or placed in the level i cant get to at all. It is by no means better then SoTn but it is still pretty good so far and im only on level 2 of 6

I'd say that Castlevania HD is kind of disappointing, especially since SOTN is available on XBLA for $5 less. A badass crossover between SOTN and all three Castlevania DS games sounds good until you scrap story, single-player value, and the experience system. I love the games for their awesome campaigns and multiplayer sounds good on paper, but i'd rather have a single-player game featuring a crossover (even though it'd be screwing with the timeline). It's not bad, but i'd rather just save up to buy the remaining Metroidvania games I don't currently own.

The levels, even when you buy them are timed? I thought it just gave you a 30 minute trail time, kinda like Crackdown.

What exactly does Shanona's RB button do? It makes a purple circle around her, but I haven't found it to do anything.

Edit: It's called "Magnes"

If you've seen any strange rocks floating in the air, you can use Magnes to connect yourself to it and use it as a a slingshot to get to inaccessible areas. But back to the point- I read the reviews, and I totally disagree- this is Castlevania through and through. The only difference is the time limit, and that isn't even a big concern if you have more than two people in game. This is NOT a single player game.
