...not that way at least.

Seems, "Games on demand" are the only option now. What? you don't wan to buy a game you already own? Tough luck!

My problem is that my 360 wont play my copy of Halo 2 at all. I realize the original xbox live is dead, but that means I can't play it at all? It's my favorite split-screen game with friends. Not cool!

What? I remember that they only shut off the Live for OX games, are you sure something isn;t wrong with your disc?

You should be able to play it locally, but not online. I just played Halo CE at a friends house, and it worked...there was even a patch for it he had to install.

Yeah it kind of sucks. Actually I have no idea how it is now, it just sucked back when Halo:CE was the only Halo out and that was the place to go to play.

I'm not ruling out patches, I'm just telling it like it is: The original Xbox logo appears and a dashboard alert says, "Cannot play this disc". Did I mention the disc itself is in pristine condition.

There has to be something wrong with the disc, my Xbox played H2 perfectly just last week when I decided to play Split Screen with a friend

Well, thats either a problem with your xbox or your copy of Halo 2 because the 360 is compatible with Halo 2. I was just playing it a few weeks ago.

This is soooo misleading. Online MP is no longer available but you can still play Halo 1 & 2 offline. I was just playing it two days ago.... GRRR!

%#$@ing Amazon!! OK, so I lost my copy of Halo 2 a while back, and recently thought I'd like to play it again, so I bought a copy on Amazon. The disc looks suspicously pristine for one of the most popular games ever and released way back in '04!

I'm disgruntled that they gave me a bootlegged copy of Halo 2! And why halo 2?! 'Cause it's nobody owns a copy of that these days? Was this copy made for the south african gaming market (which is made up almost entirely of Chinese bootlegs)?

Oh well. Time to try out the "games on demand" feature. I know they have the original Halo on it for 1200 MS points.

You do realise that they're obliged to give you a refund or replace the game if it doesn't work? Also, why are you jumping to the conclusion that it's bootlegged just because it doesn't work? I'm pretty sure Amazon probably check for stuff like that. Furthermore, I'm fairly sure you know absolutely nothing about the South African gaming market.
