When I was a teenager my parents let me play all I wanted, but then I failed high school and now I'm a security guard. So do your homework and eat your vegetables, kiddies.
i went to a High school that all the work was done on the computer soi never had home work. so my mom never cared i played all the time, but now with work and college its alot harder to find gaming time.
Well im allowed but im never really get time to play it. More like im busy with like school, friends and stuff thus i cant play my 360. Also it died a cople days ago (RRoD) so ya i cant play it either way.
lol well i'm 18 and i can play whenever i want and it has been that way since i owned my first console (when i was 12). my bro is 16 and he stays up til 5am on weekdays, only sleeps and hour and heads to school. my mom and dad don't have a problem with that. usually he stays up that late either playing on live or watching tv. our parents are pretty cool.
Im 15 and I can only play on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, or any vacation day (including snow days) and every once in a while, I can play on weekdays. But Im in highschool, so I dont really think about it anymore, Ive got too much homework!
My parents have a hands off approach, I have my freedom and can do w/e. Naturally, if they start getting contacted by the school because I'm failing my subjects then they'll step in, which has never happened and probably never will... I'm 17 btw, honestly I think if your over 16 parents should trust you to look after your own schedule. Not wanting to say I know whats best or anything, I just think that if your 17 chances are you'll be at uni in 1 or 2 years time, and yet you still are not responsible for balancing recreation/schooling. Seems more damaging in the long term, obviously revision fests will help with short term though with grades and such. edit:

This would be an example of when my parents would step in, without at least like 6 hours a night your brother must be a walking zombie at school. Personally even on days that aren't school nights I'm in bed by 3am....if I'm not I'll just fall asleep where I'm sitting/standing lol.
