Well when you say "too hard", that gives the impression that you'd be unable to complete the game due to the difficulty. So I wouldn't see the point in choosing said game. If the game is too easy it might be a cake walk but you'd probably have some fun and you'll actually complete the game.
hard all the way.
i dislike games that force me play a lower difficulty then there is. last game i just played force me was dead space. the game forces you play on normal to unlock the hardest difficulty. and that stuff makes me mad.
you can't play on what you want even though there's a setting for it. every game i max out the settings unless i'm in a rush to beat the game and get it back to a friend. and half the time i wont play it if i dont got enough time for it.
easy games are no fun to me. i want a challanage along with the story. runing around in a game getting hit by everything and still pass the missionis such a joke i won't finish a mission
I take "too hard" as: "You'll die 10 times before you can finally kill this boss"Well when you say "too hard", that gives the impression that you'd be unable to complete the game due to the difficulty. Ideally I play on normal mode, but in the situation you described, I would probably take easy. I hate when a game is too hard and it's just frustrating enough that you end up not wanting to play any more. Easy games, on the other hand, can still be fun to play.
Too hard it too vague. I have played through the force unleashed on sith master difficulty for the achievement. That was too hard. Only game to make me rage on the 360 was however, medal of honour: airborne where they just put heaps and heaps of nearly invincable 'nazi elites' in the final mission to make it challenging. THAT was a dumass kind of hard that just ruined the experience. On the other hand when I finished the sith master difficulty I was happy because it made the game SO much more interesting and gave a good fealing of achievement. If I had to choose only one I would choose too hard because its more fun, more challenging, more rewarding and makes you a better gamer.
Depends on what you mean by hard. If the game gets harder because it requires faster reflexes and a bit more strategy to tackle the situation then I'm all for it. If the game gets harder because of cheap deaths then I'd rather play an easy game (Ninja Gaiden is my only exception) .
Generally, when I get a game with mulitple difficulty, i like to start on the middle difficulty(s). For example, in Gears of War 2, I started on normal. Then, once I played through once, I do the harder difficulties. (i.e. hardcore in GeOW2 and then eventually insane). But id rather play too easy than too hard because i dont want to get to frustrated.
cod 2 veteran was hardest in the seriesprobably wouldnt buy the game in the first place...COD WAW their land their blood on veteran...games cant get harder than that

I think there is a need for both types of games. Sometime you're in the mood to really grind it out, and sometime you just want an enjoyable cake walk.
I'd go for easy cause a good game is not about its diffculty and i always play games first on easy then on normal , hard , hardcore and more levels if there are thats a way to improve myself if there is only hard wont play wont do to myself the anger and the feeling of breaking my own legs because the game is to hard lol
I would prefer to be playing a game that was too hard, if its too easy i would get bored after like an hour and i couldnt imagine ever putting that game back in my disk drive. If it was "too hard" (which in my opinion there has never been a game so hard you cant complete it) then i would enjoy it alot more, granted i would get frustrated with the game but the feeling of accomplishment after you complete the game when it has been so challenging makes it all worthwhile, afterall isnt that what games are about?
