Well, I would like to think that this game will be worth it, but so far gameplay and animations suck big time. Unfortunately IMO its going to be crap and its a shame that it is hyped. They should have dumped this project a while back, or hire someone who actually knows something about fighting mechanics and animation (like team from DMC4). kc666ahahaha hyped? how is it hyped. do you think your the only one you thinks its crap ?
Good brawler
To be honest I really haven't seen much hype about this. I watched the E3 videos, and played the demo, but other than occassionally hearing the name of the game that's all I've really seen of it. The demo was fun, though evidently only a small sample of the full game, but with the lack of diablo-esque games on 360 I think it fills a gap in the market with a good looking and fun game.
I don't think it will be GOTY or anything like that, but a good solid dungeon crawler.
its not frggin out yet and you cant base these opinions off of a demo it even says demo doesnt represent the final quality of the gamearmyman455
The point of the demo is to get people excited for the game. All this demo was make people hate it. And you can say the demo represents the final quality of the game because the developers obviously want the demo to be good so people will buy it. So don't say the final game will be any different from the demo because it wont.
[QUOTE="DeathHeart95"]it wasnt never ever hyped. in fact it used to be much more hated then now. It's really not hyped anymore, because the majority of people hated the demo.
I voted "Good brawler"

Alot of people had high expectations for the game, I'd call that hype.
I voted masterpiece because my expectations were so incredibly low that i wasn't even about to play the demo. But extreme boredom made me give it a chance and i loved it. I plan on buying it come launch day.

The point of a demo is to make people get a feel of the game and to actually increase the hype. It is obviously a work in progress, but this demo was just terrible. And the controls were way too awkward, and that has nothing to do with the final quality of the game. Thats how the controls are going to be.

i dont know what forums you were reading but i it seems to me it was 90 % haters. but now that the demo is out there is much less. im glad you gave it a chance though.[QUOTE="armyman455"]its not frggin out yet and you cant base these opinions off of a demo it even says demo doesnt represent the final quality of the gamejuicenpancakes

I honestly can't understand how you can make a post saying the demo was just terrible and the controls were awkward. It's 100% opinion...
I thought the controls worked well for the type of game and thought the demo was good enough that I played it like 6 times through. The demo was by no means terrible, you people just can't break away from the norm.
i dont think its a masterpiece but i am getting it its differnt ,coop , leveling it spans to 3 games with character ports too games 2&3 sweet . i hate starting over when the second game comes out(no more).crosis420
Thats also why i rated it a master piece so when all the other sequels come I do not have to waste my time fooling with another character. As well as that they will improve making it more worth while but I didn't thing it was a master piece 8.5-9.0 but it would be higher some few minor things which I heard.

I think he's right. now, I haven't played it, so I'm not saying it's good or bad. but it looks great. and maybe some of you should maybe rent it before basing the FINAL judement. :P

And indeed it did. Take off your blinders and look outside of the narrow world of the internet forums-it already has more than a million pre-orders, over 400K of which were made after the demo hit. Apparently the average, mainstream gamer enjoyed it significantly, and nothing you say will prevent that from happening or make their opinions on the game false.
People spend too much time in system wars if we even want our own games to fail now. It's sad. I hope Too Human gets a 10, I'll be a necromancer and ressurect the other 500 threads like this to rub it in.
I don't care what it gets though, from what I enjoyed of the demo...it's a good game. Can't wait to buy it.
one word mediocrezombiejonny
That's pretty much my opinion of it. It's neither good nor bad, it just is.

LOL!!! I got excited for a second there! I thought there was a Necromancer in Too Human. I was thinking that maybe I missed that class somewhere. :P

I beg to differ. By not releasing a demo, the hype grows even more. Once players get to play the demo, all that hype comes crashing down. Argue if you want, but that's what I believe.

Quite the opposite for me-I was just kinda "meh" on Too Human beforehand (though there were some periods of OMG!!!11!!1), but, after the demo, my hype went to astronomical levels. I think the reason for this was a combination of a lack of high expectations and significant knowledge of the background and skill trees in general thanks to the "OMG" times in my past.

So you think the marketing teams for all of these developers decide to release demos to lower everyone's expectations for the game? That wouldn't make much sense. Every ad, game video, interview, screenshot, fact sheet, and demo is released specifically to increase sales. Naturally, it can often backfire and disappoint large groups of people, but their ultimate goal is simply to make as large of a profit as they can by getting the sales numbers up. So the demo is something released when they are close to having a finished product, and it is meant to give a taste of what the actual game will be like. There is no point in releasing a demo otherwise.
