Too Human = Advent Rising

I'm not sure if people can remember or not, but on the original Xbox, a title called Advent Rising was suppose to be a majorily hyped game with a triliogy following it. The media, press, and gamer's hyped this game severely, leading to a purchase of an unbalanced game with horrible controls, gameplay, camera and so forth. The triliogy, of course, never happened. Do you think this will be the case with Too Human?

Dude, you're completely correct with that comparison. Everything from the aiming, to the combat feels remarkably similiar. I also have the feeling that Too Human will fall prey to the same trilogy curse as well. I just never said anything because of all the flak Too Human was getting. I figured a reference to another hyped failure wouldn't help its cause much. :?

I know that the story probably would have been 98% better then Too Human's if Advent Rising would have completed its planned trilogy storyline. It was penned by Orson Scott Card for Godsake! :D

I really hope not. After playing the retail version of Too Human, I'm completely shocked that I was not going to play this game because of the demo. Actually, I wish the demo had never been released. This games is amazingly fun to play, co-op or not. It's also one of the deepest action/RPGs out for the 360.

im pretty sure ive already called too human as being the next advent rising in at least 10 forum posts, and im willing to back that statement up if i have to, so i feel credit is deserved as i was making that statement months ago.makchady

I thought Too Human was a great game.

Seeing at how the reviewers relentlessly nitpicked it to death, and attacked Silicon Knights in their reviews...they may as well just call it quits. It's not going to get much love.
