The game sucks not us. The gameplay was cruddy. The melee was useless and I only got him to do one single combo after flicking the analog stick in every direction. No skill is involved. They failed when making this game. No offense.

You have played at most 1 hour of a demo version of the game and unless you have played it through a couple of times and gotten used to the system it will not flow as it is supposed to. Combos and special attacks, what do you expect at level 1-10? No RPG has ever unlocked its full potential at the first few levels, that is the whole point of leveling up. Stating that it is wrong that you only managed one combo by flicking the stick around? Then stating that there is no skill involved? If you manage combos by just random flicking the stick, that is not involving skill.
i would of liked a combo meter

There is one.The entire special attacks system revolves around it, instead of mana you use the power built up in your combos to unleash special abilities and attacks.

I personally found the game quite enjoyable, played the demo three times now, twice as the champion and once as the berserker. The immense range of equipment, armor sets and enchants is awesome. The graphics are good enough and once you get used to it the melee flows really well and looks cool, it will take even more time to learn proper use of finishing moves and special abilities though. The camera did not annoy me once, I dont know what I did wrong in order to make it work but it must have been something.
The only thing I fear when it comes to the full version of the game is that it could be repetitive unless the environments change from mission to mission and the enemy variation increases, but since this was just a demo that should not be a problem for the full version.
The right stick fighting was cool. But I kept being reminded of GTA3 having to tap a shoulder button to recenter the camera behind me. Also, the left stick is nearly useless when you're ping ponging enemies. I'd rather hold a trigger (or left bumper) down for melee mode and point the left stick to for melee attacks. and keep my right stick as a 3rd person camera
I thought it was great looking and fun. I'm not getting "needs polish" comment. interface was cool easy to assign weapons, runes. I'd kinda like a map and mini map.
Played through the demo 4 times as 3 classes. If you unplug your ethernet cable and change your 360 clock to 2009 you can play the beserker and ballistic classes as well.
If i buy this game b/c of that control stick issue i mentioned. Will really depend on what other games are coming out. Hey if its' dry sometime in the next year or so I'll probably pick it up.
It's a farking DEMO, they release it to give players a tiny taste of what the full game will be like.
Specially nowdays, where game designers are smarter (some of them... *looks at Silicon Knights* I HOPE YOU GUYS ARE SMART!!) and are checking gamers opinions about the demo, so that they can improve the final product even further.
Unless a demo is BROKEN, it shouldn't be looked over. Sometimes a demo can be ALMOST completly different from the final game.

Totally disagree with you. I can't say i've ever played a demo I wasn't thrilled with and then played the full game and said "hey I was wrong!". Demos may not get the game story across well but they really get gameplay across. Not of course the full combo's and in this case rpg elements that occure later in the game. RPG demo's are probably more difficult to nail down. If you didn't like the demo don't get the game or rent it first.
I'm not sure about it. I'll probably give it a rent before i buy it. I really liked the presentation of everything. I'm really interesting in what the story will turn out to be.

Nowhere I said demos are bad, and I said that they shouldn't be looked over either. And like you said, specially RPG demos are harder to nail down, since the beggining is so much different from the end.
Another thing (double post, SORRY)
Like I said, I just checked and Silicon Knights are a little smart. Go to toohuman.net, and there's a poll asking what you thought about the demo. If a bunch of people had said no, they'd for sure change stuff in it. (I... think...)

I was not aware of that. I'm mos def going to do that thanks man.
This game sucked to me. It felt cheap and kind of like a VERY generic action game. with a few RPG elements thrown in just to cover their tails.
The controls were God aweful! I say this AFTER getting well-accustomed to the control and control layout. I just thought it was flat out horrible and very unimpressive. I thought the art design of the environments and characters were great, but even that was compromised by subdued graphics and horrible music implementation. Its funny, there will be times in the game when music wont even begin to play until you've crossed this invisible threshold. Its a very crude implementation of the soundtrack. I wont buy NOR rent NOR borrow for free --- this game.
P.S. The camera is atrocious
