Get whatever you want to get? if you think you'll like rockband get rockband! if you think youd like mass effect, get mass effect. the choice is yours! not ours!dipper145
Really, it's my decision? No freakin' way!I was just going to send you a check for $65 so you could get your own game, but not anymore. Thanks for your waste of space reply. I was just asking for other gamers' opinions.
I am split between COD4 and Mass Effect. Both are awesome.
I suppose if you like multiplay then definitly COD4. For single play Mass Effects storyline is great plus a ton of cool side quests, and cinematic like dialog sequences.
Not to say COD4 singleplayer is bad, it is also cool however rather short.

can i have $65? i prefer cash however, make it quick. k byeIf you enjoy FPS's and you already own Gears of War then get CoD4. However, I disliked the beta so I never bought the actual game but I do own Mass Effect and it's not all that great but if you lack Gears and enjoy bad cover systems with a leveling system then do it up! Opinions are opinions and onions are onions.
Mass Effect, here's why:
1) Whichever game you get, I think it should be a 360 exclusive. COD4 is also on PC, and might be better on PC depending on your rig.
2) COD4 is just another FPS, albiet a very good FPS. Mass Effect bears more of a resemblance to KOTOR than KOTOR II, and it isn't a perfect RPG, but personally I get fewer RPG games than FPS games so there's more of an appeal for an RPG for me. Same deal with The Orange Box. It's a lot of FPS for $60, but it's still just FPS (with the exception of Portal, which is only a few hours long, I heard).
3) I've got Rock Band, and it is really only a lot of fun with at least three people. Playing the guitar part solo is the same as GH II or GH III, pretty much, save the "boss battles" in GH III (which I don't have much interest in, which is why I skipped it already having GH II).
4) So far, I have like 45 hours' worth of play into Mass Effect. I think I am just about at the ending. If you do all the side quests, and are being careful with your inventory to make sure your squad has the best of the best and you sell the rest, you should get at least 40 hours out of it, which for me has been like two weeks of playing it pretty consistently. COD4 has like a five hour campaign, and Halo 3 will last you two or three days on Legendary, but no more.
Single-player experience is important to me, even in games with strong multiplayer facets.
Too much gaming goodness indeed.
Here's a secret though, it's a conspiracy. It's Al-Qaeda producing all the top-quality games to make us become less interested in reproducing so our time gets invested in the games, whereas in the end it'll become much easier for them to take over our crippled nations.
But since gaming is so much fun, who cares?

Finally. Someone else who knows the truth. It's working too, I think the games are secretly making me sterile. That's why I have no kids.
