I wouldn't say that any game is scary per se. The most I would say for a game is that its creepy, and from those that I have played FEAR, Dead Space and Bioshock are such
Just started playing Fatal Frame again on my ps2. Had to go buy a new controller, but man, I forgot how great a game it is.Seriously people, you guys really think BioShock is scary lol. Maybe im just old or something. Scary used to be games like Silent hill and fatal frame. Those games would leave you messed up in the head for a long time.

I don't think there are ANY scary games on the 360. Dead Space might be creepy for the first hour, but after that it's not scary anymore. F.E.A.R. might have some tense moments but again, it's not really a continously frightening game.
BioShock on the other hand is a joke. If anyone gets scared from BioShock they have to be young as hell. Honestly, the only thing frightening about BioShock is how weak the gunplay is. :P But for real, I can't think of a single, genuinely frightening game on the 360 that I've been exposed to. The usual suspects I've played and I can agree with you, they aren't scary. Maybe there's something I missed.
Probably the scariest game around would have to be Amnesia on the PC at the moment, but I'm too scared to actually try that one, and that's how I know it's scary, the freaking trailer was so intense I had to pause it. Oh man, deep down I'm a wuss. :P

I agree with that, I've played nothing scary on the 360. It's a shame too, I just searched up Amnesia because i saw someone mention it earlier and boy is that a horror game for you. I wish they would port it to the 360 but i don't see that happening. All this talk of horror games has me itching to play an actually good one, if only silent hill games came out for the xbox that were actually good(minus 2 on the og xbox, it was pretty solid). Some good xbox og scary games were Doom 3(Trust me you play this game in pitch black with a good headset or surround sound. You will be scared.), Call of Cthulhu which was a great game but had it's faults. In short we need more horror games on the 360 instead of bs kinectimals.I think there is only one game on the XBOX 360 which can be considered scary - Condemned Criminal Origins.
There are games that are "creepingly atmospheric" like Dead Space, Silent Hill Origins, even Bioshock 1 has its moments...
I am another gamer that has to jump onto the Amnesia fans bandwagon. Game looks really impressive, along with Penumbra series...There are actually demos of those games, that run on your laptop (if relatively new) so even if you dont have a gaming rig you can try them for yourself. Horror genre is certainly lacking on the XBOX 360.
Watch this hahahaha, it makes me want to play silent hill 2 and call of cthulhu again though because he mentions it. He also says how none scary Dead Space is and the lack of good Horror games these days, which is completely true.I think there is only one game on the XBOX 360 which can be considered scary - Condemned Criminal Origins.

Really? you got scared with bioshock and fallout????
Anyway back on topic:
3. Amnesia
2. Amnesia
1. Amnesia
None of the games I own for the 360 scared me, some of them are creepy but not scary (yes I own bioshock, condemned, dead space and all of those).
I remember as a kid playing the early silent hill games. The sounds were so creepy, I'd keep checking the windows every time the game made a noise, and eventually would convince myself that somebody (or something) was outside and I would be too scared to play. Current gen I'd say Forza 3. Firstly, its scary how long I've spent on it. Secondly, it's scary how it has influenced my attitudes towards driving.r3iz0
SH 1-3 were awesome, and really scary at the time.
oh yea...i do have a scaryer game then bioshock...my number 1 scary game is thrillville of the railsXbox360Gamer15

Also the first bits of Singularity were creepy and condemned 2
I really don't find any games to be scary. Like another poster said they can be creepy, but for me at least even that is rare. The only form of fear I see in games used often is just like those times in Doom 3 where you're walking down a hallway and all of a sudden an imp jumps out of no where. It might make you jump, but I wouldn't really say it's scary.
But I've played a lot of the RE games and some Silent Hill games back in the day, and those never scared me. They mostly annoyed me because of the types of games they are. This is just for me personally though. I can understand where some people would be scared during a game. I guess I'm just immune to it.
I say,
Condemned: Criminal Origins - I hate it when random, weird looking people jump in your face in a FPS.
Haunting Ground - That crazy laughing, no personality woman who bashed her head into the mirror and
started chasing you with a giant shard from the mirror is really creepy.
Clock Tower 2 - Psychopaths who bash kids in the head with sledgehammers, another giving acid baths chase
you screaming your name throughout the whole game... creepy but a lot of fun.
[QUOTE="Hells_rebelion"][QUOTE="F0urTwenty"]I mentioned it on page 2, i loved that game so much an not a lot of people even knew it existed. Thankfully a old friend i met on XBL when i first got it when the og xbox came out recommended to me. I haven't seen him on in ages though unfortunately. Zombie78 come back in live if your reading this!! F0urTwentyOh lol sorry, I guess I didn't read carefully enough. I've been searching for it at flea markets for a good price (Instead of the 30$ ebay price). I had finally come across it at a local traderbakers, looked inside the case and someone had stolen it. JUST MY LUCK lol.... Btw, I had a name similar to his on the original Xbox. Mine was just plain "Zombie" Lol oddly enoughI am going to go buy it again as well if i can find it at a good price, it's backwards compatible correct? It sure is
