F.E.A.R. 2 was weird for me in the sense that there were a few moments that seemed like they weren't meant to be as intense but made me jump. I remember early in the game walking into a room, turning around and being face to face with the little girl. She didn't jump/scream/attack, she was just there, and it scared the living crap out of me. I found that more haunting than anything else the game threw at me.
scariest game of all time, pokemon silver and gold... proof it wanst just a fad... and that my friends is scary. in the horror genre i dont know of many scary games, condemned was good, but on game cube there was one called eternal darkness i wish was ported, great game and it had insanity meter where the game did crazy things to you because you were going insane. horror in games is so hard because it has to be unpredictible and most games are so predictable... ohhh long dark hallway, ohhhhhhh lights went out... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh scary noises, must be a big bad monster...
Dead Space scared the hell out of me. I was always jumping and twitching everytime something popped out at me. I loved that game and I can't wait for the second one. Silent Hill was creepy when I was a kid but I play it now and It's just halarious. None of the Resident Evils were scary to me. The only one that got my heart racing was in 2 when the hands popped out of the walls. Alan Wake looks pretty creepy and I want to get it eventually.
