I have a 40 inch Samsung LCD with 1 component and 2 HDMI inputs and a 360 and a Wii... I have Wii componant cables waiting for the HDMI 360 to be released so I can hook it up to my remaining HDMI input and connect the Wii to component... anyway the REAL question is will I be able to re-download all my arcade games to my black 360 or will I lose all my arcade games?

First you'll have to do an account recovery on your new 360. You'll then have to download everything you've bought.

You won't have to pay for it again but you'll only be able to use it if your 360 is connected to live. If your new 360 isn't on live your arcade games will become trial versions and any other premium content won't be usable. That even applies to gamerpictures and themes.

How do I know this? I know because it happened to me. Very annoying.

Is it really worth it just so you can have a HDMI port on your 360?

Or you could buy one of those larger memory cards due out early next month, put your gamertag and saves on it, and transfer.  I haven't done that firsthand, but according to a friend who has it works fine.  If anyone knows better and I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, of course.
*EDIT* What I meant to say is my friend used the 64MB card, but if I were you I'd wait for the larger one.  I don't have that many games and I couldn't fit all my saves on one 64MB card.

I know people.... so I'll be able to trade in my old 360 and pay the difference.  BUT I'm rethinking it because I have been reading through the forums and there's some talk about the Premium package coming with the same hardware sometime late this year or something... and I don't want to get all my accessories customized in black if I won't be able to buy future accessories in black... I would be paying more then the actual accessorie to get it customized.  I have 2 years to trade in my 360 so I'll probebly do it when they release one with HD-DVD, bigger HDD, and HDMI built in... it'lls probebly cost $100-$200 more but to me it worth it.. I get a little bump in both my Wii's visual performance and my 360's

who knows ms may never release this rumored 360. even if they do i guarentee it wont have hd dvd. ms barely supports the format u know there probably this gonna wait for a real winner (blu ray has the better shot) before they make a internal drive with new format.

I'm so confused by this thread now.

The topic title states you're getting a new black 360. Your last post says you're not because of a "Premium" console coming out with the "same hardware" What do you mean by same hardware?

You then go on to say you'll wait for a 360 with bigger hard drive, HDMI etc.... The Zephyr or whatever it's called has all this and is black. Isn't that what you were talking about in the first place?

And one last thing..How is a HDMI port on a 360 gonna help your Wii's visual performance?

The HDMI port will free up the component port for the Wii.
