right now i currently have the turtle beach x3's but i am looking to upgrade to one of the above which will have true 5.1 dolby surround sound which makes my ears salivate just thinking about them. i have done some research on both and they pretty much seem to be exactly the same so i was wondering if anyone else has any input that would help me make a decision. btw, i can get the axpros for like 130 rather that the 180 they cost so i actually will probably end up getting those but still!!... let me know if you have any valuable input such as experiance with Tritton etc. Thanks!
astros are way overpriced and don't have the sound quality the ax360\axpro. as for experience with tritton, i broke my headphones twice and called them up(wasn't put on hold). talked to what seemed like knowledgeable guys and received a replacement both times. don't get me wrong though they are very reliable\durable i am just HORRIBLE with headphones\headsets. I also plan on asking my girlfriend to get me the axpro for christmas+my birthday(my birthday is near christmas) even though i already have the ax360. Main reason being the better mic and you can control the volume of xbox live chat, where on the ax360 if games don't have a volume control its hard to hear people over the game noise.
Edit: X4s are simulated surround like they only have 2 speakers. I have never tried a simulated surround sound headphone but i always figured real surround sound is better the ax360\Pro have 8 speakers
The X4's are NOT true 5.1. The Trittons are. X4's have 1 speaker in each ear & simulates 5.1 surround sound. The AX360's have 4 speakers in each each & ARE TRUE 5.1 surround sound.
