i'm trying to recover my gamertag but everytime it says that the password isn't connected to the gamer tag, what does that mean

I think it means you have the wrong password. Type it in carefully thats what happened to me once and I typed it in carefully and it worked. :)

i dont think that is right, when we type in a wrong password, it just says the password or email is invalid. when we type in the right one it says it is not connected to the gamertag

Oh my fault. Hmmmm...I don't know try calling microsoft support center I guess.
