Turok is soo baddd

God, I played for about 4 hours in and it just sucks you have a very limitited view of what your doing, which leads to bombardment of dinos and people which leads to a frustrating death. Graphics aren't great, COD4 and many others are way better. Difficulty is so hard, not because its really hard, just because the enimies are so cheap. Also the enimies, when you try to shoot them from behind mind you, they immidiately spin around and unload a clip on you like wtf no enemy is that smart...Despite doing that they also take forever to kill because they have perfect accuracy when they are running back and forth and in circles and such. Also the sensitivity is outrageous even on lowest its near a 8 or 9 on halo. Do you self a favor if you NEED to play turok rent it! waste of money imo going to return it later today.ds360fn

i actually liked it...well only using the bow + knife....Conflict denied ops is bad..if u havent played it yet..download it too see how bad it really is. outbreak201

or, we could just say that the new turok is just average at best, and NOT download the imminent crap that is conflict, save time both ways.

No its not bad, its actually pretty good. I have it and the single player is a blast, and the MP is amazing. Im addicted to it already. The graphics are great and it doesnt get boring fast like Cod4.

usually if i don't like the game it doesn't take me 4 hrs of playing a demo to know i don't like it. ImajinMyFX

Yah they have loads of them here (Nova Scotia, Canada) And personally, I thought the demo was sweet, and I'm definatly picking this up.

COD4 never gets boring

Turok demo wasnt so bad. It was actually decent. The graphics were good, and the there's so much rumble action while firing off a gun. I wasnt too pleased with the Bow and arrow. But i'm sure it gets sweeter as you progress through the game with explosive arrows and such. The knife assault moves were fun at first, but it gets old quick. I wouldnt buy it, but it's definitely worth a rental. I wasnt blown away by the game.

P.S. I was frustrated with dinosaurs attacking me while I was busy shooting at the human enemies. The dinos dont stop coming, they're everywhere. They need to cool if off just a wee bit.

With the demo, the knife assaults. I thought they were a little rough and disorienting, the framerate, animation and swinging the camera out and back.

Seeing how it is such a powerful weapon, and used so often, I bet it does get old quick, especially if you see the same thing over and over.

I mean if you have 3 raptors attacking you close range, the shotgun is hard to hit them, and takes two shots if you were perfect. So you pull out the knife, but then you have to see near the same animation each time you use it, taking you out of the gameplay. Maybe if it did it now and then, and 80% of the time it did the animation still through the player's eyes.

Also, it would have been better to show a special knife hand position to indicate the knife was ready, instead of a showing an icon of the trigger on the controller everytime, which again, doesn't not blend with the game well.

agreed, that game is horrible, i can't beleive i wasted 750mb of my DL limit on that attrocity.

i think turok is an excellent game i went to my friends house and played it non-stop till i beat it. it is also better than the previous games havent played the multiplayer yet though.

Ive been playing the Turoks for years and always bought the next one in hopes it improved on everything the last one did wrong...the few things they improve they ruin others. Its a series I gave up on years ago. Unless this title gets a 9.0+++ I wont even consider it. Even then I would rely on a rental before a purchase. Turok is a no go for me.

paradise you are the biggest tool i have ever encountered on these message boards...every post you have ever made states something along the lines of halo 3 sucks...we know you dont like the game, and if you get personal satisfaction by telling everyone your opinion over and over again then keep doing what you are doing...but basically it means you have no life...on the topic of turok, i played the ps3 version and it seems ok so far...not a great game, but nowadays all companies do is push out poorly made FPS that have little plot or lack of depth...this is a middle of the road FPS...worth a rent but a waste of 60 if you are going to buy it

The Darkness had Multiplayer and it was still ridiculed. Its when a game does the single player and multiplayer right that its great. They are just saying Turok ISNT great. I havent played the latest Turok but Im still suffering from the bad taste the last 3 or 4 Turoks left in my mouth.

I thought this game was gonna tank, but I downloaded te demo, which persuaded me to get the game...the game in my opinion, is very good so far. The atmosphere reminded me of the King Kong game that came out a couple years ago, and the action is pretty standard for an FPS, with dinosaurs.
