I got some Turtlebeach X31's about a month ago. Now I am seeing echoing, static and the mic doesnt even work!

Ive still got the surroundsound and can hear my friends through that but I assume that the cord going between mic and controller is broken. WTF

I grabbed the X41's and they did not do it for me. Even with the perfect setup I heard popping.

Wireless tech is hard to get perfect and have super sound quality too. People are like "well I hate wires" and that's fine but then you have to sacrifice in other areas.

I just grabbed some Astros and called it a day

I had the chance to try out their newish PX21s at my local Best Buy, and I have to suggest them over any other headset I've every used on a console. I haven't used a straight up X-series since the X3, so I don't know how it compares to the 31 or 41, but it's incredible.

To add to those problems, it eats through batteries (AAA's every 4th day or so) and it ruins my connection.

Ive had connections errors for a long time and thought I finally fixed it just before I got the X31's. When I was messing around earlier I couldnt connect, unplugged the wireless connector, connected, plugged it back in, couldnt connect.

I am thouroughly dissapoint.

Hey Supaman,

I think I can solve your issue. The reason you are getting an echoing is due to the controller cable not making a good connection to the headset. Contact TB support and tell them you have an echo, and they will send you a new cable free of charge. That will solve the echo, static, and loss of microphone functionality. As for the batteries, you if you play alot, get two pairs and a recharge unit (you can find them on eBay for about $10) and just swap them out once or twice a week.

Like I said before, just contact support for the free replacement cable, and you will really enjoy your headset.

I have the x41s and I love them. No piece of electronics will have a 0% failure rate. I would only be upset if they did not fix them within a reasonable time. As for interference with the wireless just change the wireless channel. That is what I did and have had no problems even with it sitting right beside the unit. As said they will sent you a new cord. (or should). If all fails you can go to RadioShack and get one but with out the volume control or if lucky - with.
