So, ive got a bit of a problem. A friend is bringing his 360 over for some dual 360/tv gaming and we want to play some online. He doesnt have a wireless adaptor as he doesnt need one at his place, so can i have mine plugged into my console, and then run an ethernet cord from my console to his? Will we both get live then? (router is too far for wired at my place, incase you were wondering)

Any help is appreciated.

i dont think so. I heard from somewhere that if you have a Wireless adapter plugged in, and an ethernet cable plugged in at the same time, the wireless wont work. Im not entirely sure. But give it a shot

yeh, but IF this does work one of you might get booted after being in a match for 15 min or so. 2 Xbox's cant share the same IP address. IF you get that to work, try this (read the responce that has a +90 next to it) :D. worked perfect for me and my bro

i dotn think that should be a problem, i usually have 3 360s all wirelessly connected in my house when friends come over, so that shouldnt be a factor i hope.

no that isnt a factor as i have 2 36os in my house on teh same network and theres no ip problems between them. I dont think there is anyway to though to have share an internet connection that way.

i said one of you "might" get booted, if not then yay. but that was the obvious problem for me, my bro, and any one else whos question(s) that came up in the google search engine. to say that isnt a factor isnt a fact.

Basically, you think you can use the 360 as a bridge, that's definitely not gonna work. That's what routers are for and needed for in most cases. You're basically trying to hook both of your 360's together through ethernet..and use the wireless adapter in one of them to provide internet for both. It's not gonna work..and a few people here aren't understanding that.

Yeah thats exactly what im trying to do, the only reason why i have any hope is the fact that a laptop can be used as a bridge. I guess ill have to try it out and see for myself.
