It's a bit of a stretch. Looks like some Animus on one of the screens. Old books confirmed!

Possible spoilers ahead!
So let's start with a few things we know: Desmond returns, will access his ancestor's history, and will have more to do with the game than occasionally wandering around. That's really all we have to go on. However, if we look at these images closely, there's more than meets the eye. Maybe.
Take the image above, for instance. Desmond is having what appears to be a very casual conversation with Lucy - something not possible within the walls of Abstergo Industries. Also notice her clothing, which is comprised of a sleeveless shirt. In the first game, she was forced into a lab coat, and I have doubts that Abstergo has casual Fridays. Behind them are maps and images attached with "you only see these in video games and movies" red lines. Again, there's no reason the hyper-advanced computer systems of Abstergo needs to have this type of setup. Instead, it looks like the wall of someone trying to unravel a conspiracy. There are also some old books on the table, which would make sense if they're much less reliant on tech to find their clues. And there's a crappy looking stool.
Let's look at the next image:
Again, a far cry from Abstergo Industries' facilities in the first game. It would appear that this is an Animus, like the one found in their room but decidedly less futuristic and advanced. There's no reason Abstergo would downgrade, and it looks more like this is one put together by the Assassins. That, or Ubisoft has watched too many episodes of Dollhouse.
If you look behind them, there's a large window and brick walls reminiscent of a warehouse. The computers all still look futuristic, that's to be sure, but they're nothing near the stuff in the prequel. The Assassin's don't have the ability to cover themselves under the guide of a business, they need to be able to move, and it looks like they're doing just that. This speculation, mixed with the previous knowledge that actor Danny Wallace will be playing a historian that helps Desmond in the sequel, makes it really hard to think that things aren't going to be much different this time around.
What will the story be? There are many ideas floating around our heads in the office. AC2 ended with a cliffhanger of sorts, so Desmond and Lucy breaking out and trying to find something before the Templar does makes sense. It would make one hell of a tutorial, that's to be sure. Regardless, it's only a matter of time before we know for sure (hopefully), and we'll be the absolute first ones to say "I told you so!" when the game is released.
So, what does everyone think? Do Lucy and Desmond escape Abstergo Industries, or has the world-domination firm been hit by the troubled economy and lowered standards?
