Hi, I have two problems with my 360 and I would appreciate it if someone could help.

1. I was just playing Fifa 2008 and all ofa sudden a message appears that says disc unreadable. I then find that my FIFA 2008 has 8 scratches the size of, well the scratches were so big there is nothing to compare them to. That's obviously a game busted. Is this a problem with my 360? What could this be? I've had three 360's since release and I am fed up with faulty 360's.

2. Whenver I load up my 360 I sign into Xbox Live ok, but whenever I put a game in I get disconnected from Xbox live. I've checked and my subscription runs for another 3 months, what could this be?

Thank you.

The reason for the scratches is that you probably moved the 360 when a disk was inside.

For the live problem, try checking all your connections.

Make sure your console isn't being moved when in play. Are you sure the connection problem isn't simply a matter of your game trying to update itself? Xbox Live disconnects and then applies the update after a few seconds.

How old is your 360? There were claims that the older DVD drives in the 360 could potentially cause scratches on the game discs even if you didn't move the 360 while it was running.

Do you get disconnected from Live in all games or just a few? Does it log you back in later on or do you have to go back to the dashboard and manually log back in?

I'll answer all questions.

I moved the Xbox 360 from upstairs to downstairs (bought a new 42 inch plasma TV) two days ago but no disc was inside and the xbox 360 wasn't running. I never move the 360 whilst a game is inside and the xbox is running. The xbox 360 was stationary and it randomly happened.

As for the Xbox live question. It seems like it is trying to update itself but I never get a message that says "Would you like to update this game" It just disconnects and never reconnects.

Thank you.

My (third)360 is a year old.

I get disconnected from all games. If I go back into the dashboard and manually log back in it just disconnects when I load a game up again.

Sorry for this, but I'll just bump this thread because the quicker I know what might be wrong the quicker I know what to do.

The only think I can think of is a Router or actual Connection settings problem. I can't help withthat though so I'd recommend you go to Xbox.com and sift through the help section or ring Customer Support.

I think I'll play on the 360 some more and see if it busts whatever disc I put in.

I'm more worried about the disc problem than the xbox live problem.
