....surprisingly good!

Me and my brother picked it up yesterday and played a good 4-5 hours straight. Being the only rpg on a console that offers this type of experience online, it was very fun and fresh. We had a blast just taking turns being idiots behind the NPC's while the other was talking to them, hehe. Other than that, I was a mage, and he was a warrior, and we just had fun pillaging villages, taking out bandit camps, and even the occasional dragon. The character development of this game is actually surprisingly deep. Keep in mind this was all the MP, I've only begun doing the SP campaign, and it looks to be a nice long story as well. Thats a lot of content, in my opinion.

Yes, the game has flaws. The framerate suffers. The dialogue is a little weak. The online has lag issues. But after a few hours of playtime, these problems we're in the background, while me and brother had a blast tearing up the terrain. We can only imagine how much more fun it will be when we have 6 more people helping us on our journeys.

I recommend anyone whos on the fence for this game to at least give it a rental, and to get by the first hour or so and get into the meat of the game before passing judgement on it. You might find yourself enjoying it more than you expected.

Now that it's a week after release, quite a few people are saying it isn't nearly as bad. I may rent it now.

And if you have lag with just two people, imagine what it will be like with 8.

Oh, I know. But it's hard to tell if its lag or simply framerate issues right now. I personally think its a mix of both. We can only hope they can patch the game up to getrid of some of that because if they do, the game will be a lot of fun.

I ended up renting the game. I am enjoying it a lot, and it has a lot of promise to be my favorite rpg so far. I will most likely purchase it before I have to return the rental.

Yep if you give it a chance it grows on you. It's hard to get past that first 30 minutes but once you master the skill system the quickkeys, spells and alchemy stuff it's a blast.

It's nice to see some fans of this game after all of the trash talked about it. This game has received, in my eyes, a very unfair reception thus far, and while I can admit that the game is not without it's flaws, it's still a very good game. 14 hours in and I enjoy it very much, and my interest in playing it only gets higher. It did take me about 2 hours before I could get into it because for me, the start of the game was not very good but if you keep playing and you figure out all what this game offers it really is a very good game.

It's inevitable that this game will get compared to the all mighty Oblivion and that's fine, but Two Worlds does enough things different from Oblivion, and certainly enough to make it stand on it's own two feet. Though they are pretty much the same genre, they both play very differently and offer a different experience then one another, and both games have a spot on my shelf. This is coming from a guy with 330 hours in Oblivion and feels confident naming it my favorite game of all time, yet I can still enjoy Two Worlds.

If you do give Two Worlds a chance, just make sure that you give the game more then 15 minutes before you judge it. I've read so many posts saying, "I played for 30 minutes and I can tell you the game sucks". You cannot post a review of any game, especially one as big as Two Worlds, after 30 minutes. Just give it a fair chance people, and I'm sure many of you will end up liking the game.

I imagine once people got over that Two Worlds isn't the next Oblivion they began to see the good qualities the game does have.

My thoughts exactly. I compare this game more to a 3D Diablo.
