use internet connection sharing to setup a bridge. google online how to do it for your version of windows. then you need to learn how to forward the ports and set everything up spot on. if you dont then what happens is you will have terrible lag and/or closed or strict nat which will give you lag and stop you connecting to online features of certain games so make sure u set everything up correctly or its harsh.thats why u shud google it and find a forum of techys who will guide you through any problems in getting you nat open

Connect the ethernet cord straight from the laptop to the Xbox. Once that is done highlight your Lan port and your Wireless connection and left click, choose bridge connection. That is all there is too it. I used to bridge it all the time. If you need to forward ports, forward these ones.

Application Start End Protocol
xbox 1 88 88 UDP
xbox 2 3074 3074 Both
xbox 3 2869 2869 TCP
xbox 410280 10280 UDP
xbox 5 1900 1900 UDP
xbox 6 10243 10243 TCP

Exactly how you do it. I used mine this way on occasion. Depending my distance from the router. The only thing I dont like about running it this way is that my laptop tends to get pretty hot after a while.
