I have a 360 which stands vertical, however i have heard recently that it shortens the life of your consol? i dont understand why though, i tried sitting it horizontal but it doesnt look as good and there isnt an awful lot of ventilation space, there is some but not alot. So is the vertical 360 deaths just stupid rumors or is there truth in the matter?
I heard that rumour too, when i had it vertical it would heat up very quickly, plus i got red lights on it, from now on i have it horizontal, seems to work fine...for now..
It depends. Some people have had their systems work better vertical, and others horizontal. Just leave it the way you like it, and if you have any trouble down the line, try changing its position before calling tech support.
yeah i have heard nothing but bad thigns for vertical standing. i have had mine vertical and horizontal from time to time depending on how my set up goes, but i definately feel safer with it on its side.
I had mine vertical but because there was a rumor that it will shorten the life of the 360 i changed it, but I have had no problems with either setup, so w/e
Im about to buy a 360 tomorow but I have used one before and I dont know how to horizontal it. I once tipped the 360 over (while on vertical) and it had all these twitching sounds and my CD never worked again. Come to think of it, Vertical is an awful idea. Dont do it :P
i used to have mine vertical but then my it got knocked over while i was playin gears of war and the game got seriously scratched lol so now its horizantal for me
