VGA or HDMI ??? tough choice

I'm thinking of trading in my 360 for the elite when it comes out.  I'm currently running off VGA (in 1280x720 8) ) and the graphics are superb, far better than component.  I wonder if HDMI looks better or worse than VGA.

I'm not getting it (elite) just because of the HDMI, I want the bigger hard drive and the black color to match my PS3.  Anyone know the specs of wether i shoud run my elite with VGA or HDMI?
