this is why i dont own a mic for my 360 if i wanna talk to some friends i talk to them over vent usually when i play my xbox i mute all those random people who scream stupid stuff or cry or sing i swear some of the 13 year olds are more mature then some of the 20 year olds on live
That sums up the XBL community very well... A bunch of losers with so much time on their hands that they would rather do things like that than just play games.
Lol i found some of those messages very funny. Anyways, I'm going to cancel my xbox 360 gold membership soon. My primary reason is because i need to focus on school but the live community is also a major part of it, as shown in that video. I'm tired of 12 year old kids sending me insults because i got first place in call of duty WaW or i beat them 5-0 in a match in fifa 09.
Forget this summing up the Xbox Live community. I think this sums up society in general these days. Just my two cents though.dukerav
Pretty much. Or at least the internet. But kids these days obviously aren't being raised right with a "I have no respect for anyone" mentality. It's pretty sad.
Not sure if people are biased towards the Xbox Live community because this is a 360 forum, or if they honestly believe that the XBL community is worth than others. My experience is that any online community is full of jerks and people who look to put others down. PSN is just as bad, as are the communities for many PC games, including WoW. The only reason Xbox live stands out is due to the amount of people in the user base. A larger number of people means a larger number of morons, but the ratio, in my opinion, is always the same.

Dude, just ignore them. I find it funny when i get theese kind of things cuz they think ur gonna get mad at them and the ones mad are the just cause they lost a game. They must be like: OMG i insulted a person via XBL im so KEWL!!! but what the rest think is: this kid is a retard and he gets pissed off after loosing. Lets face it, those kids who insult have no life and we shoul be sorry for them.
That is why i have set my Xbox live setting to private after a "Nice" person sent some "nice" messages basically telling me where to stick my copy of Halo 3 :lol:

Casting my vote for this opinion too. The difference between online communities and real life is that in real life, if you say this to someone, in their face, your chances of getting punched square in the nose are increased 1000 fold. Saying this stuff through the internet gives people armor more or less that prevents them from getting beat up or destroyed by the people they're attacking. It makes them feel cool and powerful to think that they might have just hurt someone since they know they can't actually fight someone
Xbox Live's community may be a tad bad, but the online experience (Gameplay wise) is amazing. Its not like on the PSN only mature adults play it and not a single kid plays it...
Because of the price of the PS3 when it first came out, the rich families who have children got it for their children. Which means those young kids who are VERY immature and spoiled will be playing PS3.
I find it hilarious when 12 year old kids try to act ghetto or like they're awsome. If someone says I'm gay I just say look up the actual defenition of what gay is then come back.
Also its true no matter where you go theres gonna be little kids screaming stuff that they dont even know the meaning to. Just sit back and laugh in their face (well ingame face), it takes off alot of stress for me.

i noticed more 12 year old kids talking trash and crying on mics with xbox live more than psn but that does not mean psn does deal with that issue thats why both systems allows u to mute other users lol
