What 360 game is most overhyped??

Ok, we all know there are lots of bad games out there, but generally speaking really bad games don't come with a lot of hype. When a game is super-hyped, we naturally have higher expectations - expectations that are not always met. Anyway, what game do you think has the biggest "hype-gap" - the distance between what the promo machine would have us believe & the actual value of the game? I nominate FEAR, Gears & Madden to start......

Looks just like halo 2 and plays just like it. Why spend another $60 on the same game? I was in beta/

I agree on Rock band but only because that is going to get mighty expensive due to what you need to play it but I kinda like guitar here (Im waiting till christmas for a price drop so I can get the ps2 version and to mods who start screaming at that statemantIM NOT TROLLING I am actually considering a move to xbox 360 once price cuts start coming thick and fast)

Yea, Halo 3 is the most over hyped game i think. It will be a good game and all, but with all the hype its getting, NO game could ever live up to those expectations.jchaff

Word. That game is gonna fail on so many levels... not fail as a good game but fail on the hype level that ppl are giving to it.

No idea but i fail to see how Bioshock was overhyped. It had very little hype until the reviews came and said OMG its great. Once it comes out its no longer hype. The market gets it and reacts and they loved it. Sure some people hate it but hell some people hate stanley kubricks 2001 still no denying its a masterpeice. Also gears is a great game to.

I dont understand whats going on. Its seems when someone says overhyped people pick the popular game everyone likes and says its overhyped and is bad cause it makes them feel special. The majority of people love Gears and Bioshock.

I mean you have games like tenchu z, Madden 07, and shadowrun.

This thread is just begging for someone to write halo 3 so ill get it done out the way. Im a neutral gamer so Im not saying this because Im a fan boy but seriously I have played both halos and they are both standardised FPS (moreso with 2) And considering from what I have seen from this game this is looking as gimicky and as overrated as halo 2 if not more so.rety5

i was thinking like you until the released all the new stuff about Halo 3. For one CO OP will be bad ass, for two FORGE WILL BE BADASS, for three Map editor will be BAD ASS, For four making ur on sparan will be BAD ASS, for five HALO 3 will be BAD ASS.

BTW THE MOST OVER HYPED GAME IS GEARS, I loved the first one. I just dont kno how the gameplay can be any different for the sequel.

in case you didn't know before now, the button under enter/caps lock is te shift key. It makes letters capitol, and that doesn't make people listen to you more. It makes you look stupid.

FEAR for sure. Never played such a boring, mediocre shooter. Tired gameplay, bad graphics... I don't see the appeal.

Honourable mention to Rainbow Six for the same reason.

Although Dead Rising was the first game that came to mind. It could've been great but was killed by the stupid save system and unresponsive controls.

Have you played the COD4 beta the gameplay is awesome and the graphics are pretty much just as good or better than any game out right now.

Theres never been a 360 flop on GS to date so non where overhyped.

Thats funny because unfortuneatly, 2 just flopped today. MOHA and stranglehold. oh yeah and blue dragon also flopped earlier

Gears Of War was way overhyped in my opinion.

I just want to know why everyone is saying bioshock. I have yet to play full game and don't plan on getting it, atleast for awhile however it really only got hyped after the game came out because it was such a good game according to so many people.

Halo 3 I would say is quite hyped however over hyped? most likly it is but there no way to tell for sure as the game is not released yet.
