What 360 to get?

my birthday is coming up and im gonna get a 360. What kind's are there and which one do u recomend?

Simply get a the Basic Xbox360. They are pretty cheap, they come with the console, controller, power cord, tv cords, headset that hooks into your controller, ethernet cord to go on xbox live and download demos and games stuff, which you story on the 20gb hard drive that comes with it too.

The elite cost about 200 dollars more, but you get the HDVD drive, it's black, it has an 80gb hard drive, and the controller is black, and yeh.

The basic is the best one, and as for games, get Halo 3 for SURE!! And if you are an RPG guy like me.. get Overlord, that game rocks xP.

but paramount pictures ( one of the big 3 movie companies) signed a excluvise deal to release all their movies on hd-dvd only. and walmart is offering $200 toshiba hd-dvd players. so the format war is far from over.

as for the console there are 3 choices

Arcade $280, get wireless controller, 258 meg memory card, standard def cables, power supply and 5 free arcade games (worth about 30 bucks).

Premium (aka pro) $350 bucks comes with 20 gb hard drive ($100), hi-def cables, wireless controller, and they are going to bundle 2 games marvel ultimate alliance and forza 2 (60 bucks per game) with the system.

Elite $450 same as premium but comes with a 120 gb hard drive ($180) and is black in color

If you have an HDTV with HDMI support get the Elite.

If you are poor get the core system.

If you don't have HDTV get the pro that comes with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

They've already failed once, and I would wager that the odds of yet another failure are far more imminent than a brand new console.

I have an Elite and the only thing I didn't like about it was not many matching accessories so I bought the Pro w/HDMI and am buying the 120 gig HDD. A more expensive approach but for all intents and purposes, a white Elite!

*And no I'm not taking it apart to see if I have 65nm!
